How do I do this when I use an app? Do I chose a random Ang and read from the beginning to end and that’s the Hukam?

This is a great question. The best option that we can recommend is to use the "Sikhnet Daily Hukamnama" app. It will show you the daily hukam from the Siri Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple) but it also gives you the option to request a personal hukam. That way, you don't need to worry about where to start the hukam or where to end. All blessings.
