In 9 minutes, we get an overview of a century of American politics and war and philosophy. It's a shame that Tavis Smiley is not continuing his work. This is on another level from so much of what we see today. Vidal is, of course, a brilliant person, but we get so little intelligent reflection today. Just a lot of shouting and outrage and victimhood. This is the polar opposite of that.
Vidal is a national treasure. I disagree with some of his extreme stances on a handful of issues, but he is perhaps the most worthwhile political analyist and essayist of 20th Century America. And I'm saddened by the fact that he will not be with us much longer...
He was genuinely surprised at the lack of substance and talent of the BUSH...it rather heart warming to know that a man who knew so much, could still be surprised by the psychopathy of the Bush group...He never spoke of knowing of the Senior Bush having been in Dealy Plaza on the day of JFK assassination...and the odd poetry of the Jr. similarly not knowing where he was the day that the young prince Kennedy not having been searched for in the area he was known to have gone down in his plane before Teddy Kennedy actually drove to the Coast Guard to ask them to please search....and then only three days after the plane went down.
Long live freedom and herbes corpus
Please put up parts 3 and 4. TY
I'm a fan of Mr.Vidal. He is a ultra smart intellectual and has a sarcastic since of humor.

More people need to watch this to see why George W. Bush must never be glorified even with Trump and how to make comedy classy with ease.
