The even bigger question from me is how the 'professional coaches' don't seem to know what Caedrel and the other casters know. During drafts, they call out combinations, why a draft or champ sucks in the draft, and it ends up being true. What gives? Lane swaps, tactics, tower dives, all are getting called by the all the casters, but the pros and their coaches can't figure it out???
@@Enriq101 Casters know but don't say it often to build suspense. Caedrel was also a caster but never spoke about drafts the way he does it on scrims. Probably it is not allowed so the viewers can speculate. Coaches expect it but practice counters on specific picks and playstyle.
Teams consistently play the same style and meta; you can sort drafts if you pay attention to games for a few weeks. Each role has like 3 meta champs and 5 total priority picks. Draft is *pretty* binary at this time. The main two thats missing are aatrox and renekton. Kinda weird we havent seen either of themb

Massive props to BLG for taking the series. BLG played masterfully in this series. They know T1's strengths and weaknesses, so they don't overcommit too much unlike other teams that faced T1 prior to this series. They also seem to know that Faker's plays and shotcalling are the top winning condition for T1 since LCK Playoffs. If he can't have his Ori/Taliyah/Azir, they all seem to scramble for their lives. Hoping for T1 to bounce back from LB though!

I do not know if it is a bug or if it intended, yet it has been a part of her gameplay since the release. A few professional games it has caught people off guard due to the R going in another direction then where Renata faces initially.

Nah this T1 roster are meta dependent. They had no success apart from one tournament in the past 3 years, where riot crafted the meta for them to succeed.

Senna enables nautilus to farm and become a problem. See the exp gap with really low level senna and you can see that they prioritized accelerating the nautilus over the senna.

That game 4 final sequences was hard to watch from T1 -Faker greeding W under tower and dying to the dive -Zeus flashing in instead of out in a fight when he was already low -Keria not ulting to protect when Zeus got hooked -Keria taking Kalista ult back in Not to mention the glaring issues -Zeus not being able to play from even -Zeus being completely disconnected from his team -Oner getting gapped -Fakers champion pool and how different he is on comfort vs non comfort -Guma spamming Senna and not carrying like Elk, despite clearly showing in the past at Worlds that he can -Keria's multitude of mechanical mistakes -The team not engaging on times where they would usually engage, like worlds with Oner Rell and Fakers Azir, there were opportunities, no matter how few and far in between, of game winning plays, that T1 never pulled the trigger on. On the other side BLG was very solid and aggressive and played like how T1 would play in a regular season against a weaker team, overall a very good performance and deserved win.
The second the hook lands on Guma at 1:07:49 Keria should ult. He 100% dropped that entire fight. He had great position to cover the entire river but dropped the ball HARD. That cost them the game. There was a 4 second window for him to press ult before Guma used kalista ult. That was 100% Keria's fault

I noticed this when Keria picks Renata. He usually holds his ult until the last second. There was this game, not sure what it was. It could be an international event. Was it against Missing's Ashe last worlds and he is playing Renata? Not too sure but I remember, there was a fight in Rift Herals. I believe Renata is already 6 and Ashe is still lvl 5, so clear advantage. But Keria never ulted that fight and only ulted after the fight and didn't hit anyone. I think he doesn't do the usual plays. He tries to do the "highlight" worthy plays. Obviously, sometimes, the opportunity doesn't present itself. So ending, he held to his ult. Unlike On with his Renata. He just ults and ults and ults.

Can we get some ON appreciation here i think he played really well. Knight was frying this series too other than that Corki game, but that's just LPL Corki classic. Man I'm so hyped to finally see Chinese Chovy and Korean Knight face each other. On the other note though T1 looks so out of it and everyone underperformed. It's like when Faker died on game 3 and 4 they just decided to run it down to end the suffering faster, legit wintrade. I still believe but i hope this is a wake-up call for them 🙏

Before we critique T1, I think a lot of people don't understand how little rest they had since the start of 2023. 2023 had LCK Spring, MSI, Asian games for 3/5 players, LCK Summer, Worlds. Then during off-season they had so many schedules like variety shows, fancons, RedBull event. LCK Spring 2024 comes and MSI. Not to mention, all of these games they played almost all the games that had to be played, regular season + playoffs almost all the way to finals, all the time. Its the craziest schedule I think any LoL team has ever had so far. I think we should give them a break and cut them some slack man.

I’m a T1 fan, but I like the T1 loss, it gives them a chance to reclaim their form, and also gives us more interesting matches(not lpl vs lpl, Lck vs Lck) , G2 vs Tes, GenG vs BLG, etc. This MSI is absolutely stacked to the roof.

I think it's unlikely. Also why LPL performs better in short tournaments, but T1 were expected to be the 3rd best team at MSI and so far it looks pretty accurate. Of course you can never count the LPL killers out, but I'm very excited for Chovy vs Knight!

I havent played league for about 6 years, but i always check in on Faker once in a while in big tournaments. He didnt seem on top this series, but I am impressed hes still there competing at the top level after all this time. Hes also 28 now, his clock is ticking hard for esports top level. Most players drop off much sooner then faker, goat. I hope they get a comeback at MSI and win.
T1 without Faker having lane prio looks a lot more vulnerable I think the same approach of squeezing mid pool to limit the enemy team's ability to shut down bot should be good against Gen G too but I'm not sure if snowballing through bot will be as sufficient a win con against Chovy + Gen G macro (not that it isn't still good just harder)

1. Shen ain't it right now, basically just a peeler tank (w/ his ult and taunt) and that's pretty much it. Shen also has no to little scaling (which is a big factor in pro play) while other meta champs like Ksante, Zac, Ornn, Urgot, Vayne has decent to ridiculous scaling. All of the champions mentioned really shits on Shen too. It will take literally more than a global shield/tp/peel to be picked again. 2. Yea about Galio I agree that he should be picked right now, good in soloq and has the right amount of tools and buffs to be viable again pro play. Perhaps it's not being picked right now since it's a Kalista/Varus/Lucian/Senna which can tear Galio apart and team comps would REALLY lack damage. 3. Tahm is undoubtedly a better pick than Seraphine because of its ridiculous base stats, can scale too and a decent frontline with a broken ability called Devour for defense/offense. Seraphine can be easily countered too and can fall off really quick.
Main problem is that at lvl 6 a lot of the economical dmg due to lane swapping is already done and the main problem is that top laners can't stay at their lane, fighting against 3 ppl simultaneously and therefore miss out on xp and gold. Sure, afterwards you can in a way still prevent tower dives but lane swapping has the biggest influence during the early game.

people gotta remember how much teams ar elooking like different lineups between matches. the T1 today was weaker than the one against G2, and the BLG was better than the one against PSG. These teams fluctuate, there's every chance T1 brings it back and BLG just flounders against Gen.G

In this series game 1, they 4th pick Ksante top instead of Viego jgl that they were already hovering. Top is famous for being the most counterpickable, and they themselves punished an early Ksante pick with a Vayne top counterpick and dominated. In no universe does it make sense to draft top first there. And then they couldn't adapt the draft to BLG's very obvious strat of banning all of Faker's champions, so picked TF 3rd on game 3. Mind you they prioritised the awful TF top over a mid champ for Faker. A TF top that's been shown to be crushed by counterpicks. That they've lost almost all their games with since LCK playoffs started. In game 4 that late priority for Faker was further abused by banning 2 more mid champs, so counting the T1 ahri ban that's 6 champs Faker was banned from playing
X5 ban against FAKER prove that if you shut down FAKER , the other players can't carry GUMA ain't the SUPER CARRY of T1 and if you put ZEUS on tank duty , it's like : Enemy team w/ free win
Draft issues. Guma should be the focus of this team but because theres an all star top lane and mid lane the resources is split between Zeus/faker/Guma. I think if they just focus on having guma be the solo carry they couldve beat GenG and BLG
Let guma cook. Guy is a monster if you let him take the wheel. Problem is so many carry players on their side who outshines guma. Id say give him a hyper carry and play around him. Guy can play aphelios, jinx, etc but with comps like senna,kallista, u have to stay even or ahead. Zeus is a carry player, keria's picks even oner's are somewhat carries. I've been yelling at LPL teams to ban Faker's Azir for 2 years. Without it, he will always get caught mid lane. And if JDG banned Faker's Azir it would be a totally different story last world.

The second the hook lands on Guma at 1:07:49 Keria should ult. He 100% dropped that entire fight. He had great position to cover the entire river but dropped the ball HARD. That cost them the game. Before we critique T1, I think a lot of people don't understand how little rest they had since the start of 2023. 2023 had LCK Spring, MSI, Asian games for 3/5 players, LCK Summer, Worlds. Then during off-season they had so many schedules like variety shows, fancons, RedBull event. LCK Spring 2024 comes and MSI. Not to mention, all of these games they played almost all the games that had to be played, regular season + playoffs almost all the way to finals, all the time. Its the craziest schedule I think any LoL team has ever had so far. I think we should give them a break and cut them some slack man.

I think it's unlikely. Also why LPL performs better in short tournaments, but T1 were expected to be the 3rd best team at MSI and so far it looks pretty accurate. Of course you can never count the LPL killers out, but I'm very excited for Chovy vs Knight!

I havent played league for about 6 years, but i always check in on Faker once in a while in big tournaments. He didnt seem on top this series, but I am impressed hes still there competing at the top level after all this time. Hes also 28 now, his clock is ticking hard for esports top level. 1. Shen ain't it right now, basically just a peeler tank (w/ his ult and taunt) and that's pretty much it. Shen also has no to little scaling (which is a big factor in pro play) while other meta champs like Ksante, Zac, Ornn, Urgot, Vayne has decent to ridiculous scaling. All of the champions mentioned really shits on Shen too. It will take literally more than a global shield/tp/peel to be picked again.
2. Yea about Galio I agree that he should be picked right now, good in soloq and has the right amount of tools and buffs to be viable again pro play. Perhaps it's not being picked right now since it's a Kalista/Varus/Lucian/Senna which can tear Galio apart and team comps would REALLY lack damage.
3. Tahm is undoubtedly a better pick than Seraphine because of its ridiculous base stats, can scale too and a decent frontline with a broken ability called Devour for defense/offense. Seraphine can be easily countered too and can fall off really quick.

Main problem is that at lvl 6 a lot of the economical dmg due to lane swapping is already done and the main problem is that top laners can't stay at their lane, fighting against 3 ppl simultaneously and therefore miss out on xp and gold. Sure, afterwards you can in a way still prevent tower dives but lane swapping has the biggest influence during the early game.

In this series game 1, they 4th pick Ksante top instead of Viego jgl that they were already hovering. Top is famous for being the most counterpickable, and they themselves punished an early Ksante pick with a Vayne top counterpick and dominated. In no universe does it make sense to draft top first there.
And then they couldn't adapt the draft to BLG's very obvious strat of banning all of Faker's champions, so picked TF 3rd on game 3. Mind you they prioritised the awful TF top over a mid champ for Faker. A TF top that's been shown to be crushed by counterpicks. That they've lost almost all their games with since LCK playoffs started. In game 4 that late priority for Faker was further abused by banning 2 more mid champs, so counting the T1 ahri ban that's 6 champs Faker was banned from playing

T1 bot lane should play more aggressive or carry champs. Gumayusi is their most consistent player and it hurts to see him playing fasting Senna than Varus. Even a Xayah/Rakan would be better even if they're not meta
