I think your assessment has been the most straightforward one I've watched. You connect the motorcycle to your riding desires and don't fall into the sort of "what if" holes a lot of others have in regard to the Himalayan. Where some instantly want to transform it into a different motorcycle, your approach is to accept it as it is. I purchased my 2022 Himalayan in January. I loved the Granite Black version. And pretty much all of the colors. I chose Pine Green because it looks so different than anything I've seen. It's been cold and snowing since I bought the bike. Central Pennsylvania winters can be rough, and even when there's not snow on the road there's always ample salt and grit to mess things up. I've made a couple videos riding here in the cold but can't wait for things to melt and dry out in the mountains so I can ride the Himalayan in the places for which I chose it. Thanks again for sharing your enthusiasm. I'm a lot older than you but my excitement seems the same!
I picked mine up in November and love it.. Going to do the Transamerica Trail but have to do it on sections. Ride up from Florida, ride 3-4 days on the trail, ride back. Repeat. Starting 3/9 going to Damascus. If you're interested it would be a fun trip
I want a Himalayan for exploring/camping/leisure in the UK. I like the pine green camo, but this black one also looks fantastic. They're all nice colours, which makes choosing all the more difficult.
If you have not purchased any bags for your bike, take a look at Giant Loop. Especially their Great Basin bag. It’s soft luggage and will work on any bike.
Awesome! I should be there hopefully in the very near future. I’m taking the permit, and then a Motorcycle class thing. And once that happens I’ll be heading to you guys. I sat on a Royal Enfield Himalayan and It was definitely higher than I thought. But it’s almost like I want to force myself to get it haha I sat on the 2022 granite black as well.
The class will definitely help! There are definitely things you can do to lower the Himalayan, up to about 1-1.25 inches. One is temporary (which is recommend). Lowering the forks and adding handlebar risers. Once you get comfortable, you could put them back to stock. The other is a drop link, which could be put back to stock but is a little more work. Either way, I’m excited for you!
@@RoadWorrierMoto I spoke with, Damn it I forgot his name. 🤦♂️ not Dylan but starts with a T I do believe. But yea I really look forward in meeting you guys and hopefully you guys can hook me up with some VLOGing info/set up
That's a fun bike and you'll get use to it quickly... Please, talk to the camera more often, you did great... Tag lines are good, just have to pick the right one.
Nice bike, I would not mine one, if had a garage to keep it, no room with my current bike and not giving up her up she more for cruising and touring which I do more of than Adventure bike riding.

Hey thanks for the video really enjoyed it… I own a bmw r1200r classic and I’m looking for a bike for semi of roads and camping having watched your video I’m gunna buy one… and as for your comment about not being good in front of the camera you did great 💯😂
That Himalayan is actually the Euro 4 2021 version I have the euro 5 version which is the 2022 version also in Granite black. The way to tell is the Catalytic converter is on the vertical part of exhaust tubing. Nice bike all the same. Enjoy your new bike.
The difference is, my motorcycle IS a 2022 version by model year. We do not follow Euro 5, so it doesn’t apply. It is actually a 2022 Himalayan as it pertains to the Royal Enfield North American market. We only demarcate models by year, regardless of their Euro compliance. So, even if my unit is Euro 4 to you, it’s still a 2022 “version.” Our 2021 version in the NA market had 7+ differences from the 2022. Some of the more noticeable ones. 2021 didn’t have the Tripper. 22 does. 2021 had the longer tank guards. 22 has the shorter ones. 2021 had the wider windshield, 22 has the windshield built to accommodate tripper. 2021 had the rack with cross bars, 22 has the flat plate rack.
@@RoadWorrierMoto interesting why would RE be dumping the euro 4 model on the US market? Normally that happens here in Australia. I have seen some videos shot in the US that are the Euro 5. Maybe it’s old stock. I have ridden both and the Euro 5 has slight more go than the 4 the wiring and ECU, indicators are different the windscreen doesn’t have the silver band and there is no choke. The wiring harness being different alone would be a hassle on the production line. The model shown on the RE USA website is the euro 5. Still you have a great bike. You can do stuff like put power commanders, change cams etc without throw engine check lights. Enjoy the new bike.
The only thng that bothers me about this bike is that the service/oilchange intervals are pretty short. Other than that. it is a terrific inexpensive bike
Just a small suggestion , i think so you should mention your Instagram or any other social media handle too for people to follow your content if you wish to ☺️.
