Venezuela has produced some of the world’s greatest musicians in history. This is the most Rockin version of “Mambo” I’ve ever heard and I’m 70. What a joy!
I just remembered that I was at this concert. I think at the age of 12 I could't fully understand how good Dudamel is, what this orchestra can achieve and how good Bernsteins music is. But I remember having completely enjoyed the music and their spirit and love for what they do.
That must have been amazing! In my opinion, Dudamel is the greatest living conductor. I have some musician friends from Venezuela and they are exceptional.

Absolutely amazing! Congratulations to Dudamel and the orchestra! This is the best version I've seen performed, for them to add so much energy by dancing around and enjoying themselves really gives it something else. It's already a hard piece to master without all the moves.

This man and his orchestra, Simón Bolívar have wandered all around the world and with sound reason. Dudamel has made a miracle with these guys.
