Free wet wipe pouch pattern with tutorial on binding and using waterproof canvas domestic friendly

- In today's video we're making the very anticipated wet wipe pouch, many of you guys have asked for this pattern and I think this one will be a super easy sew for you to make a cute addition to your diaper bag or home. We use zipper tabs to get an amazing looking result for our top zipper and we use binding on the inside seams to get a clean finish. Don't be afraid of binding, I'll show you a great material to use to do your binding that will be both easy and a cheap! Thank you Faith 😊 with your tutorials process looks easier than it could seem in the beginning 🙏 A few questions about the main fabric: did you use any kind of fusible interfacing to make it less soft so that the bag could keep a shape? What kind of fabric did you use and what fabric would you recommend to use in this project as a main fabric? Thank you.
I used regular cotton woven, I guess I forgot to mention that lol I also used interfacing, I like 950F from Joanns because it's a little thicker and helps it keep it's shape.

The binding is to cover the seams, I don't like seeing seam in my bags.

You can use a cotton bias tape 🙂
I would LOVE TO MAKE this and a large matching bag!!!! I hope you have a bag video. I will try this tonight. Do you have a link with materials? Also… how big of a zipper do I need? Do I have to use a zipper foot?
I believe I mentioned zipper size in the video but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I made the video so it's not coming to me right now lol But I used cotton for the outside interfaced with sf101 and I used waterproof canvas for the inside. I hope that helps.
Have you thought about adding a pocket for diapers on the other side of the opening for the wipes?

It's a Sailrite fabricator, if you go on my video's I have a video dedicated to it. She's an amazing machine that can sew through just about anything lol
I made one (using a different pattern) with waterproof liner and cotton on the outside but my wipes dried out. Any idea why or how to fix it?
Maybe it had something to do with the lid not being able to close properly? If you put them in it with out the original package then yeah they are going to dry out. They make those packages the way they do for that reason. I don't think they would stay moist with just a zipper closer, that allows air to get in.
I read a comment above that for interfacing u used 950F, what is comparable to the 950f, I don't have that but I have some of sf101, 809, decovil light.
It’s really up to you, I use it because it’s stiffer. Give decovil light a try and let me know how it goes.

I have a Sailrite Fabricator, I have a video on it if you want to check it out and see if it's right for you.
When you make something using 100% cotton, do you prewash the material before you make it? Cotton shrinks a little in the dryer. I sew and sell. I don't like to wash the fabric because I'm thinking that customers would not want me washing material in my home washer. What are your thoughts?
I typically don't prewash my fabric and I find that it does shrink but it's not enough to be a concern. You could always make one and then wash it and see how it does. ;-)

I normally get my zippers from either More me know or Amazon ;-) I've gotten some quality zippers from them for a great price.
@@faithwerksdesigns6197 I order my tape and pulls from Sew Many Creations her shipping is always FREE excellent quality now if I want a custom zipper pull I buy and have always fit on her tape
A lot of the time I get them from Amazon or More me know or if I see someone running a good sale I grab them. But for the most part Amazon.

That came from a fabric company who went out of business BUT that print can be found at K&A Custom fabrics 🙂
Love the video is the dimensions that you is for a certain size wipes or can any size wipes fit
I measured a Huggies pack but you could try another pack in it.
Which one did you use how many in the pack

I have a local store I get some from called Fabric hut, they also sell it online. My punkbroidery is a great place to get some from, it's a little pricey but they have colors I can't find anywhere. You can also try Hobby Lobby, I like their black vinyl that's 19.99 a yard, it feels expensive and I like sewing with it.
Hello do we have to use binding since it's on the inside and no one can see the inside?
I've never used binding
You don't have to it just makes the inside look a lot nicer.
Where can I find this pattern? Do you have one with an envelope fold rather than a zipper?
I give the pattern measurements in the video and no, I didn't try an envelope fold.
What kind of fabric did you use
Cotton woven for the outside and waterproof canvas for the lining I think lol It's been a while since I did this.
