The Sajdah/Prostration in Sacred Scriptures. Prophet Muhammad has mentioned in a hadith by Ibn Majah that prayer and the acts of Sajdah/Prostration is a cure for many diseases. The fact is that a person who offers his/her prayers regularly is protected from many diseases which he/she may not even know. The position of Sajdah/Prostration in which the forehead touches the earth is exclusively associated with the Muslim form of prayer. This was how too, all the predecessor Prophets and Messengers of GOD did their adoration mention in the Torah/OT, and like Jesus the son of Mary too, mention in the NT Gospels. It is the climax of a Muslim’s prayer and as mentioned in a Prophetic tradition or hadith a Muslim is nearest to Allahh/G-d in this position of Sajdah/Prostration. There are 33 bible verses of prostrations in the Torah/Tanakh or Old Testament. In the Christian Gospels Mark 14: 35 and Matthew 2: 11; Matthew 36: 39 For many Christians, prostration is a forgotten posture of prayer. Islam asserts Jesus the son of Mary taught/demonstrated this method of prayer. We are told Jesus fell with his forehead (face) toward the ground and he prayed. Allahh have 99 Attributes or Names and its not even include GOD as 'Father'. Neither in the Torah mentioning HaShem or YHWH as the 'Father'. There is nothing like male Allahh/G-d or female Allahh/G-d. Allahh has no gender. If you add the word 'father' to 'God' it becomes 'God-father'. God-father means in Catholicism as someone who is a guardian. There is no word like 'Allah-Abba' or 'Allah-father'". Allahh/G-d also has no son - "Allahh has not taken any son, neither begotten, nor has there ever been with Him any deity or partner." za
James 5:17 says Elijah prayed earnestly and it did not rain for 3.5 yrs…What does earnest prayer look like biblically?… 1 Kings 17:1, “… As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither do nor rain during these years, except by my word.” … He then turned on his heel & went to th brook at Cherith… Short, sweet, to the point… no doubt…
Elijah's prayer was answered because he was praying in alignment with God's previous promise to stop the rain if the Israelites were disobedient. Elijah was praying in alignment with what God had already promised. This essentially means praying in accordance with His will. (See Deut. 11:13-18)
