Stunned. Loved the whole thing. Todd great presentation of history in this one and the cave needs explored.
I think it would be Great if the cemetery was restored!!! If you do it or are involved with it I would love to see it!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Much respect to the good men and women that founded and built our country.
That den is in a cavern. Loved the cemetery tour too. Thanks for dusting this off and posting it today.
Would be so awesome to stand the stones back up for respect for the ones who have passed very cool video thanks for sharing God Bless and happy dirt fishing…Virgil
Thanks Virgil....I agree...to see these like they were was heartbreaking but the landowner was beside me during this and asked me not to show the names else his farm could have people just showing up. Maybe one day....
LOVED this....WOW Todd...thanks for surprising us with this release.
Thank you Todd for sharing with us,Good luck to you.

Loved the video Todd....thanks for posting this one.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing, Todd!
Thanks for the lost clips Todd. Some beautiful country up there. Almost makes someone that lives more south want to move up that was for the history.
Beautifully done!
Thanks Todd , I ran across and old abandoned cemetery a long time ago in Alabama in the woods there were a lot of really old graves most marked with stones , some with tombstones one I'll never forget had a giant oak tree growing in the center of a grave the tree was over a hundred years old or older , so I don't know how old the grave itself was, Stay safe .
Thanks Ricky. I just went to a very old cemetery over the weekend and took a photo of a huge tree growing up over a grave. I wondered the same thing.
Hello Todd some nice footage loved the very old cemetery, and your metal finds ❤.
You sure liked you needed a good night's rest 😴.
Thanks for sharing 👍 and greetings from England 🇬🇧 Simon and Beth ❤️ 🙋
Thanks for tagging along on this old adventure of mine...yes I was tired. this short clip came at the end of a very long day of digging. You should check out Part 1 of this one and see what all we pulled out of that ground. Actually I went back there several times and found some old coins, including a Nazi coin.
Todd, you looked cold and tired after an awesome day of metal detecting. I wish the headstones could be out back in place. Awesome location once again.👍👏😀
Thanks Twins...yep it was at the end of a long dig day... this was a short clip at the end of that awesome dig day.
Todd,
Those gravestones should be restored, as much as possible.
The names and dates should be recorded for the benefit of existing and future generations.
Robert ,from Sidestep Adventures ,has been cataloguing graves throughout the Georgia area for years.
Some he actually cleans.
It is not a lack of respect for privacy, it is a respect for what these people were and
there contributions to this great land.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
I know and agree too but what do you do Rik when the landowner says not to show the names since it is on his land and he doesn't want people showing up there.....he was right there beside me.
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives your right, you showed respect ,I missed that 😔
Of course I meant generally.
Take
care Todd, your making great vlogs in spite of your family and work commitments.
At least your still posting...right?
What a fantastic story!
Hello from Knoxville my friend. I know I’m old but it’s not Friday is it. I remember when I was a kid going to funerals with my granny. She would not let me walk on a grave. I had to walk around or behind but I couldn’t step on a grave. Stay safe my friend and say hello to the family for me.
Thanks Steve. This cemetery there was no order so it was easy not to see graves...
Hi friend!
Hello!
that den is I believe from raccoons or possible badgers from the piled scat I have seen that many time here in AZ
Raccoons can be bad here too....at least my chickens thinks so....LOL
This must be some older footage, eh?
Yep….Rob read the description….😂😂
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives - I could tell by your hat!
I think you need to head down into the hole.
LOL hey Cliff you coming with me.....LOL. I have a huge cavern on my cousins land that has never been mapped or revealed I've been waiting for the weather to get cold to reduce snake encounters......You have to crawl into it but its huge inside and carved names from the 1800s. You should join me on that one....
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives Just let me know when.
Is the cave on your cousins property in VA or WV?

Love your videos Todd. This one was just okay. I understand the persons concern with privacy but the names and dates have a story all of their own. Unfortunate you couldn't share. Maybe should've just passed on this one. The best part was left out. The fact that it's in such a state on private property is very sad. Wouldn't let you show dates of 200 hundred year old graves makes no sense. Sorry for being negative because I love your channel and your research 😊
yep duly noted. It is one of the reasons why I chose not to release this on my regularly scheduled Friday release and why I didn't release it originally but I felt it was a neat little mini backstory on the site I detected that compliments the dig video that does have the historical information. Check out the link in the description to see Part 1. Thanks for the feedback.
they will eat dirt if they have to
