After 3.-5 years that seal should be replaced to ensure water resistance. You don't want to open a water resistant watch and handle the seal with your fingers. It's not only replaced by the manufacturer when done properly, but its also prepped with hydrophobic oil and done in a dust free environment. Some manufacturers will also put the watch through a new water resistant certification test.
When they are dirty, washed with running water and CLEANED with a brush, when used for 6 years the watch works properly. The gasket hasn't gone bad in that time.
went to swatch group just to change the battery of my watch .... same model as the one in the video They told me I should make a Full Service.... - Watch with Very high Battery consumption - Need change the mouvement - Rate sec/ month imperfect Detail... watch 2 years old.... out of warranty. Next time I will Rely in the old Japanese Casio!

why using a quartz in the first place? i have the automatic and i'm very happy with it. For a quartz i wouldn't spend +800€
This is a very good watch, only battery replacement sometimes.
i have a DS FIRST (C0144104408100) what battery do i need for it?
Why the bloody awful noise?
