The Dutch Warmblood is a splendid horse. I always steal one from the prospector at the river down by the camp as soon as the caravan arrives at Horseshoe Overlook. It is also very courageous. Wolves can snap at its legs and it won't throw you off. The poor man's Turkoman.
I would argue the Perlino Andalusian is the poor man's Turkoman
Mine has a serious fear of gators. Lol. She has bucked me more than once around gators.
There’s another easy way to get a Dutch Warmblood. Down by the river near the trapper in chapter 2 is usually a gold miner. He has a dark Dutch Warmblood. And nearby in a stranger mission to get a treasure map you can get a Blue Nokota. But my favorite Dutch Warmblood is Buell
The one you get from the miner is a sooty buckskin. Video coming on that horse too soon. But this chocolate roan has better stats. Buell has the highest stats of all the Dutch warmblood.

@@tommyblade8093DW is not as fast and have slower handling, but more health and stamina. It's also bigger and less skitty in a gunfight or near predators.
@@RockworthRDR2 Despite having lower stats, i would argue the Chocolate Roan is better than Buell, it's accessible much earlier and you can get an unlimited amount of them
@@aleksanderhiller7506 I took the one from the miner and honestly her only real weakness is a fear of alligators. Lol. She will stand still in a gunfight but a gator freaks her out. I don’t mind that she is not the fastest horse in the game. I think seeing Arthur on an Arabian or a Nakota looks ridiculous.they are just too damn small. Not willing to go through the whole game looking stupid on my horse. Lol.

You can practically steal (lure) any horse from stables..later in the game you just need a wagon which you have to drive into the stable and then shoot in the air until you get a manhunt..then you can get off the wagon, feed your favorite horse and it will follow you out of the stable exactly as shown in the video here.

One of my favorite horses. You win a couple of races and get 7 speed.
Speed is overrated in this game anyway.
IMO, health and stamina are where it's at, and at full bonding, this horse's stats are great!

Speed bars only makes a 0.6 percent difference
The rare appaloosa's stamina bar seems to deplete slower than the other horses.

@@themagnus2919 I also notice the differences on stamina bar depletion rate for different types of horse. Like Rose Gray Bay Arabian and Missouri Fox Trotter. Rose Gray Bay Arabian might have the full circle of stamina. But the depletion rate is faster than Missouri Fox Trotter (both Silver Dapple Pinto and Amber Champagne coat). In the end of the day, Missouri Fox Trotter can travel way further than Rose Gray Bay Arabian. This might caused by different types of horses. Noticed that Appaloosas and Missouri Fox Trotters are both work horse
You can also do this with a wagon or horse cart
Just go into stable with a wagon , shoot the roof of the stable ,then law gets alerted. At that time exit wagon and feed your desired horse in the stable then after temporary horse icon is visible leave stable and go some distance and call for the horse

you don't have to stable the horse, save and reload your game all you'll be able to put your saddle on the horse.
Last time I played this mission I ran across Moonpond and suddenly saw a Missouri Foxtrotter from a random encounter with a woman, and it was alive. That famous glitch, I suppose.

I always buy this horse, if you have good honor you can make $90 profit once you get it to bonding level 4, I tend to stay in chapter 2 for ages so buy and sell these to profit...If you steal it you can only sell it for peanuts..

You can take any horse and bash bad guys shooting at you and tap dance on alligators all day long UNTIL they reach level 4 bonding. After that every one of them is skiddish as hell.
The ONLY horse I buy(trade), is the Palomino Dapple as soon as I access the stables, then when I am fully bonded and have othe horses I sell it back.(sometimes at a profit)
And if you choose to "hold out" long enough, you get a better price from the "horse fence" in chpt 3.
You can obtain it via a random encounter
Bro. I literally just restarted the game. And got some gold bars to get this Horse. And then. I saw this on my feed. Just a few minutes ago!
Well now you can save your gold bars lol
If you don't patch game, gold bars are infinite.
It seems like it only happened to me but, I did this & my playthrough bugged out because none of the stables are selling any horses now. There's two underwhelming horses at Valentine but nothing anywhere else. It's really weird.

Just go a short distance away from the stable, whistle and the horse will eventually come to you

I like this horse.. Its way better than the Hungarian half Bred.. that maybe a war horse but thats way slow and even after bonding ma it threw me off many time at wild

No you can have 4 horses stabled + a temporary horse

another way to get free horses go into a stable in a wagon don't get out of it shoot the roof so the person gets scared and the door closes after that get off the wagon pick the horse you want feed it and brush it until you see the icon [forgot how to spell it sorry] then grab it then leave or leave so you're not wanted come back and call it i have done it before and it worked

It's alot easier to just go to the spot in saint denies and keep checking till it shows up it will eventually
Nah, it’s not easier, it’s been patched for a long time now. All you’ll get there are morgans and kentucky saddlers now - unless you’re playing on version 1.0. Which is the version I assume you’re playing on, but not everyone. Just bringing clarity to your comment so it doesn’t confuse my viewers.

Appreciate it. You simply press the “stable” button to keep the shire. Although the game encourages you to sell the horse, you can stable it instead. Then return and pick it up.

There is so much extra money in the game, there's no reason to rip off the stables.

@@RockworthRDR2 The Palomino Dapple is almost useless if you have access to the Reverse Dapple Black/Brindle Thoroughbred or the Silver Dapple Pinto MFT
I'm on ps5 and for some reason glitches don't work at all . The Missouri Fox Trotter doesn't spawn at any location , jewelry bags don't respawn , the shooting in the stable crap ain't working and walking around in a stable like in this video ain't even an option . 🤷♂🤦♂

When I got a horse in this mission for free Hosea thot it was better then his 😂 cuz I didn't pick the Morgan or the other two the game gave the horse to me cuz I bought the best edition 😂 it was originally 89.99$ but I waited for awhile and got it for like 25 or 30$ 😂
