The outside of the bus really looks nice and beautiful. The driving experience I could tell looks a little uncomfortable especially driving on the bump roads. Do you have a preference which bus you like better. Don’t know exactly what’s up with the CX-45s is it because these coaches are old? If you had to choose between VanHool Prevost MCI which one would you choose?
We have older J4500's that ride better; these aren't particularly old coaches, but the CX-45 doesn't hold up over time as well as other models. Hands down, I pick the Prevost first, MCI second, and VanHool wouldn't be on my list 😅
So is lack of driver comfort why all the drivers "dread" #215 CX45 or is it something else? Is it the seat, suspension or both? Are the newer CX45s any better? Thx for the great POVs!
Yes, the suspension on older CX-45's tend to get really rough and the seat on this particular unit isn't great. The newer ones are better, but nowhere near the best in comparison to the models. Regardless, it will still get you from point A to point B!
Nice video thank you. It was very clear to view. What are the criteria for PCC replacing a coach; age, mileage, maintenance cost? Secondly what is a metered Railroad crossing? Third doES PCC still have a schedule stop at Chicago O'Hare? Thank you for the video.
The criteria varies on the situation at the time. Metered railroad crossing is one that is synced with the traffic lights, thus making buses exempt from stopping at the tracks. O'Hare is our terminal station in Chicago for all routes.
Very nice piece of video! The only thing that All of those charter buses lack are crosswalk mirrors I don't care how flat they are they need those mirrors so they can see their blind spots where people are in front of them. That's just my opinion. All of my school buses had them The Metro buses had them I never cared for when the charter buses didn't have them. I seen your little friend fell over that's just not right. You need to complain to the The charter manufacturer. They need to correct that problem in that particular make and model! Be careful take good care of yourself..
Dam he got into a bus with out putting his gloves on first and touched the controls we laugh at those drivers in my company we say Michael Jackson is really dead
@alblua if you drive for Peoria charter tell James Wong I said hi I watch his motor coach videos and I know he will be a good ceo of the company you do a good job to

You're a good driver, I would ride with you. 👍
Thanks! 🙏
I wonder, does the third axle provide steering? or is it used for the weight balance of the model?
The MCI J4500 and Mercedes-Benz Tourrider have steering tag axles. The Tourrider has very active steer while the J4500 has a more passive design.
lol even the penguin cant stand the CX45. Great video
Hahaha, he misses the other models 😅

The MCI J4500 actually has crosswalk mirrors! All our J4500s have them and it's something I wish all other manufacturers also included.
I watch it again you may have to come get me@@alblua
I think James should retire the VanHool from Peoria Charter fleet.
We have a couple new CX-45 buses that have a good amount of life left still
I'm guessing your weren't to happy about driving this bus to Chicago.
Haha, not particularly! It gets the job done though
Dam he got into a bus with out putting his gloves on first and touched the controls we laugh at those drivers in my company we say Michael Jackson is really dead
