Buy that gorilla a banana. Or bunches of bananas! Thank you so much for this video. I searched high/low for help with keeping data for different lines of table with revision numbers, and yours was the one that made it click! Figuring this out for my model is a great win. Thanks again.
What I like most about this video is that it is not only short and straight to the point but also has a cool Jesus statue in the background :D Amazing content and design! Thank you very much! This channel deserves much more views!
great video, clear, short, useful, and much appreciated. i'll be following you from here on, having seen some of your other videos; and please continue the good work and postings. thanks.
You prolly dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last weeks =)
Thanks, finally I understood how to use this Group By with other than Sum function. Just one suggestion- maybe you could use screen magnifier to make the video more visible. You are in my notification list))
Sir Rick, if sales number(max) repeats for two different name then table.max won't return both name and product details...maybe list.max can help....but I got stuck,,,
Very nice! Will save me a lot of time this one. So far I've always done all rows => expand => filter by [ID] = [expandedID] and [maxvalue] = [expandedvalue], but this is so much faster, thank you! :-)
Hi Lanna, It depends what you want to do. If you want to group and show the top 3 Sellers as comma separated values, you can use gorilla.bi/power-query/aggregate-text-values/ Just max sure to filter that list to the List.Firstn( list, 3) Before combining it. Or you can add an index column to all grouped table objects, expand all, and filter on index
This was very good however i needed sum or max by date by sales person. I ended up having to burn three queries to get there. Max by date, max by Sales person then used your All Rows technique to e technique to expose the date on sales by person. Then did join on sales amount and date and got there. Very convoluted.
To learn more about functions and syntax make sure to check out: powerquery.how/
Enjoy!
Hi , could you please make a video for cleaning a dataset but tables inside tables one under other one with different titles. Thank you.

Thanks! Do you know how could I bring the last 3 values? If I wanna a TOP3, how could I bring the 3 best sellers?
Hi Lanna,
It depends what you want to do. If you want to group and show the top 3 Sellers as comma separated values, you can use
gorilla.bi/power-query/aggregate-text-values/
Just max sure to filter that list to the List.Firstn( list, 3)

@@BIGorilla Thank you!!! I'll try it.
If i make merge between 2 tables and there are many dates , how can i return max & min date ????

Thanks a lot!!! If I could I´d buy you a pint! 😄
