There are rare moments where you can only revel in the beauty of something. I heard this on the radio on my drive to work this morning and had to sit in the parking lot basking in this music. It is magnificent and gets me deep in the core. I had a listen to the straight piano version, as well, and though it is also lovely, I really love the strings in this one and think it takes it to another level.
I heard it about the same time as you. I learned how to play it on the piano and dedicated a public performance of it to my mother who is rapidly declining with early onset dementia. It was a tribute of my love and gratitude to her. As I said in my dedication: even though the piece is fairly simple, most often the most meaningful things you want to say aren't complicated at all.
Likewise, driving home from work today, I heard Angele Dubeau and La Pieta, for the first but, definitely, not the last time. Love Capradio, Sacramento, Calif.

I listen to this every day on my journey into science. It is inspirational. Einaudi, Angelé and La Pieta bring great calmness into the world with this music. That piano touches deep down while the string makes one's spirit soar to eternity. It is journey of life.
I love this. I think it’s my favorite piano piece. It makes me feel so free and safe somehow. Especially because it brings me a feeling that my loved ones are safe- more like knowledge, not just a feeling :)
I Giorni is absolutely beautiful, divine, and “gorgeous,” as Cremaine Booker/thatcelloguy described it. This, and Mr. Booker’s cello cover of this piece, are my favorites. I’m so grateful for gems like this and am a life long fan of Ludovico Einaudi’s. Just like Max Richter, and On The Nature Of Daylight. Minimalist, but beautiful as well.
