Just as I was diving into the comments section to rant about "that escalated quickly" I checked on BGG, which languages "Top Ten" was published in... and was surprised that it seemingly never got published in English 😮 so this really is the English version of it..!😅
Does anyone else feel like That Escalated Quickly seems like a slightly less thoughtful version of Wavelength? I don't mean that as a criticism of it because it's clearly trying to be a bit lighter, but I just couldn't help but think about Wavelength the whole time Tom was describing it.
I haven't laughed so hard in a review in years tom. I do loved how the die kept messing with you while you tried to show irritable vowels. It reminded me a little bit of when one of your daughters used to wear a mask and walk behind you while you ignored her. Thank you tom even if the game ain't wish it!!!😂❤😅
I really liked the Risk Strike card game version from Avalon Hill, and was looking forward to their take on Betrayal. Shame it seems to be an utter mess. Every review I've seen just absolutely roasts it.
There are a lot of great party games out there. Sounds like these aren't them. Of all of them, Contra Banter would be a maybe; the rest I can say confidently are a pass for me.
I love how right after the scathing review of Betrayal his next statement is "That Escalated Quickly!"

Yup, this is the English version of Top Ten. Exploding Kittens purchased the publishing rights of that game a year ago.
My family has had a blast with That Escalated Quickly. (Yes, it is Top 10.) it works great across generations, and if players embrace some silliness.

Self rolling die seems really good!
That Escalated Quickly sounds almost the same as Top Ten?
It is. Its the US version.
@@PetePhD You are right, it's a reimplementation.
They also made a game called on a scale of 1 to T-Rex which is a similar concept but with charades.
How does ito compare to That Escalated Quickly?

Three strikes, one foul, and one hit... Sorta.
Abundance of board games results in occasional crap. Well, in case of party games not occasional...
