Wild Mustang to Javelina is one of the better tech-trail linkups in the greater Tucson area. The lightbro finally starts kicking in around the 6:00 minute mark for your viewing pleasure. Riding with Josh Tostado is always pleasure. Watching this 24 hour ultra endurance guy pull me in the tech is nothing short of inspiring.
This was my first ride on the all new Sram Maven brake. After downsizing my rotors, they still had way too much power! After re-calibrating my brain on how hard to pull the levers and almost ending up on the ground several times, this new powerhouse was an absolute pleasure to use. Way less fatigue and more control for long and brutal descents like this one. Yes I am a Sram athlete, but these brakes honestly blew my mind. Huge improvement over Code for the long travel genre.
This was ridden on my Yeti SB160.

The lightbro starts around the 6:00 minute mark. The speed coming from Josh is absolutely unreal. Pimp your ride with some new stoppers here- bit.ly/BigBrakeTime
Nate por favor faça uma trilha assim com uma bike gravel.
I like that you are having your riding partner ride with a camera pointed back at you. Nice perspective
Thanks for the feedback and thanks to Josh for filming as well. I never get to be in the video, lol
Love the camera that captures you climbing down from the front!
Cool desert 🌵 riding! Cheers from northern Italy ❄️
Sick dude! so fun! I'll remember that ride for quite a while, proper desert brawl! 🌵🥊
One for the ages for sure. Perfect storm of light, conditions and shred levels.
Nate, great video on the new brakes by SRAM. Looks like you enjoyed the ripping the desert scenery. Blue skies brother...
Another amazing trails❤🔥 you guys come awfully close to those captus 😰 Thank you Nate!!
So good to see 2 of my favorite UA-camrs riding together on my home trails!
More to come!
Digging this new dual cam setup! 👌
Thanks for the feedback!
Love S. Az. terrain!!! Great riding!
These have made Tucson a must-ride destination
So good this time of year!
Nice ride Nate! I do like the rear shots that allow us to watch you handle the bike :-)
Thanks for the feedback!
Shredtacular...Josh is a monster and so be you! :D Good shit...
Josh's riding in this one in unreal. So much skill coming from this man.
Nice post, getting me pumped for Sedona and Flagstaff 👌🏾
Go get it!
Wow man this one’s impressive. You guys got legit skills. A wipeout through any of those freakin gnarly sections filled with massive cacti on every side would have been carnage but you guys had hella flow! Super fun watch. I’m out w some leg surgery for a minute and this vid makes me want to break the no biking rule 😂😂 sick 🤘🤘
Heal up amigo!
I don't know when you started doing it, but I love the multiple camera angles!!!!
Thanks for the feedback.
Man awesome video and awesome riding by both of you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's a lot of cacti and chunk in there, broskis!!!
Nice, this trail almost killed me a few years ago riding it in Summer and ran out of water! Pretty difficult trail for sure! I got lucky and got a set of the Ultimate Expert Mavens yesterday!
This one is definitely a workout, haha. Throw in some heat and no water and things get very interesting. You will be stoked on the new stoppers.
Yeah, that one got a little bit janky! What a workout. Love those cacti, too cool.
Thanks for watching!
I'm from Brazil and I really like your videos, congratulations.
what an amazing day to have eye balls
Absolutely surreal. What a time to be alive.
Good ol' fashioned bash fest. Fun to see those new brakes earn their keep!
Smash bang smile. There wasn't much braking going on, haha
Dope. Been meaning to check this place out 👍
You should!
Impressive riding (as usual) but what's more impressive is that you both finished the ride with your Deraillleur's still attached to the bike :)
Just getting lucky behind Josh 😅
Love seeing my old home town trails before moving to CO! What did you use for escalator? Burro or Mustang?
I think Burro makes the most sense if you like doing a loop.
The cacti look lethal. No fall zones everywhere. Another smokin joint. Keep em coming. I like to see you and others ride trails like this more than the pro line trails. I am in my 50' now and have recalibrated mt risk/reward decisions. Besides, you guys ride blue trails and make them look like blacks.
This trail is actually really hard, haha. Josh is just making things look way too easy!
@@natehills9388 I can ride this one imo, but I would come out bloody.
Hi dude, thanks for this awesome content as always :). Those Maven’s look sick! How are they performing?
And looks like you switched to Continentals, might do the same when my current Maxxis are worn.
The Mavens are almost too powerful! Had to relax the hands a bit, haha. I was testing some Goodyear’s here and they feel great. No affiliation. I’ve heard good things about the new Conti’s too.
Amazing, even with smaller rotors 😅. Ah yep, Goodyear it is, must have been my blurry eye sight on an early Saturday morning here in NZ after an even more blurry ending of the Friday night 🍻.
My arms are cramping just from watching! Great video as always!
Saludos Tio Nate!!!
Damn! Pretty wicked ride! Great job guys! How are the new brakes, I think my Yeti needs a new set! Haha! Those Zipp wheels really are awesome! Can’t believe how well they work!
The new brakes are unreal. Almost too powerful until you get used to them. And yup, the wheels feel rad, especially in rough, natural terrain like this.
@@natehills9388 thanks! Excellent video as always! Have a great weekend!
Impressive riding. Video doesn’t really capture the raw tech on this trail. These are the hardest most demanding trails I’ve ridden so yeah to see you guys rip it like that is very impressive 🤙🏻
Never quite does it justice, glad you have got to witness this one in person.
Came here to see the climb at Wild Mustang :)
Proper beat down.
I worked at the Ritz as a guide and would take guests (hiking) on those trails.
Scenic af
The Torts RULE!
Rad little area.
Love the Front Follow Cam Fridays🍻🤘
Cheers 👊🏼👊🏼
Dances with cactus. Chunk galore.
My arms are tired just watching this.
That gentleman appears to be quite good at riding the bikes
Josh is a legend!
I thought El Paso was rocky bad! They must sell lots of tires there!
Rough as it gets!
nice sheddage
Relentless chunk 🌵
Living for it! Toaster ovens and mailboxes as far as the eye can see.
Yup would've gone "Wholly Shit" there too.
Attention getting, to say the least.
So, how are the brakes?
Honestly blowing my mind. I downsized my rotors and there is still a ton more power than Codes. Big fan.
@@natehills9388 Good to know. Thanks for the feedback!
Downsized the rotors and still power for days🤯
Is this somo? Never ridden wild mustang..
This is on the Tortolitas near Tucson.
Janky AF! Looked like a great ride.
So very good!
Be careful on which politician's hands you shake on that trail. It may sting for a long while..😩😩Absolutely the most beautiful terrain. Guess that's what makes her so dangerous.
