1000 Acre Plateau - Looking for a Needle and a Haystack. Tramp to Poor Pete's & Larrikin Creek Huts

Kev's joined by his brother as they hike in the southern section of Kahurangi National Park. Their first day went to plan heading past the Lake Matiri Hut, past Poor Pete's hut and along the 1000 Acre Plateau to spend their first night at Larrikin Creek Hut. Day two involed heading up to the smaller 100 Acre Plateau up the Needle and across the ridge to the Haystack, before returning on day 3. Sometimes however plans don't work out.
