@tpms100 From India, you would get that specially when you know that you will be seen on youtube, to a sea of people this is a big deal to be noticed. Proof of the pudding will be, if they extend the same hospitality to a beggar on the street, you will never see that happen, as that doesn't bring anything in return.

There are always bad and good things in any country,
In our country , India, places might feel be a bit unhygienic or dusty but our people kind and very respectful towards foreign visitors even after 200years of history of colonisation of British. Because we believe foreign people as our guests and guests are always respected in our tradition.
One restaurant owner in Maharashtra didn't even let pedro pay for his food, he said that you are my guest and we don't let our guests pay for food.

But this family (the husband, wife, daughter trio) is amazing and an example of Indian hospitality. You made their day Padro.

Pune is both a district and a city (district headquarters) in the state of Maharashtra. People from all over the country reside in Pune for education, employment and business purposes. However, the majority of the population in Pune City is Maharashtrians.

Pedro, here below is an excerpt of what jaggery is from its Wikipedia page. If you do a web search for jaggery, you will find a lot of information about it.
"Jaggery is a traditional non-centrifugal cane sugar[1] consumed in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, North America,[2] Central America, Brazil and Africa.[3] It is a concentrated product of cane juice and often date or palm sap without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in colour. It contains up to 50% sucrose, up to 20% invert sugars, and up to 20% moisture, with the remainder made up of other insoluble matter, such as wood ash, proteins, and bagasse fibres.[3] Jaggery is very similar to muscovado, an important sweetener in Portuguese, British and French cuisine. The Kenyan Sukari ngutu/nguru has no fibre; it is dark and is made from sugarcane and also sometimes extracted from palm tree.[4]"

@MadlyRover A village in Raigad district of Maharashtra, named Korlai has a Catholic community that speaks Portuguese.
Look it up. Neighbouring district to Pune, not far from Mumbai.
