Many thanks Anders for a comprehensive appraisal of these rather wonderful but ageing Jaguars. I run a 2004 (facelift) 3.0 SE auto showing a documented 123000mls. It has just passed its annual (GB) MOT test with a clean sheet. Have done a bit of welding underneath and keep an eye on things - I'm lucky in having access to a four poster lift.
