- Part two of my video is about the BREGUET Marine Chronographe 5527, whilst in part one I talk about the BREGUET Marine 5517. The chronographe is powered by the in-house developed and manufactured 4Hz-Calibre "777A" with 55 hours power reserve, an inverted in-line lever escapement with silicon horns and a balance spring in silicon. But besides these technical details the chronographe simply is a stunning beautiful wristwatch and a real BREGUET watch. Discover the new watch with me ...
Breguet watches always speak to my soul.
Breguet is finesse and impeccable craftsmanship. Hats off!
Roberto Viacava Yes, Roberto! Thanks for the comment!
A nice watch and a strong Espresso in the early morning. It couldn't be any better...
Jean-Marc Brechbühler Yessss! Espresso will be next, but unfortunately not with a BREGUET on my wrist. But I guarantee you my espresso will be good... 😆
A stunning watch in person and the bracelet is fantastic too.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and passion with us!
*Thank you--a very well executed presentation!*
thanks for watching, you're very welcome!
Always a pleasure watching your videos, thank you 🙏
You are welcome! I am happy to read this!!!
Stunning watches but I still can't afforded them, but I will say you have given me my new grail watch a Breguet Marine. You also have me much more accepting of rubber straps on high end watches.
Robert Sullivan ... “you have given me my new grail” ... Robert it is so nice to write this! If I could I would give you one and make you happy... Ho ho ho!
The prior iterations of the Marine Chronograph (Ref. 5827) blow these current ones out of the water, both in looks and finishing. The 5527's look like something out of the Ulysse Nardin catalogue. It's no wonder the boutiques still have the 5827 available upon request. 5527 just doesn't resonate with the traditions of Breguet, at least to my eye. You can also tell they cut some corners with the 5527. The dial is certainly more complex, but my understanding is that the dials are no longer fully made of gold and they're not fitted with a gold rotor.
Thanks for sharing!
I feel like I’ve said this before or maybe I was just thinking it. But I feel that Breguet make watches that you can easily “fall in love with” so to speak.
A very romantic way of talking/writing about an ultimate wristwatch!
WatchAdvisor I guess it is 😄. Cheers!
jimmyjay122 😎 Have a wonderful Sunday!
A case could be made for date wheels that are not the same color as the dial: it makes the date more legible (Ex: white date wheel on a black dial). But I also enjoy when the dial and the date wheel are the same color
Luciole Dizerot Too much of a contrast doesn’t look good but might help for a better reading... I prefer to have a large date indication matching exactly the color of the dial
@@WatchAdvisor Agreed, in the end to each his own
ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ALEXANDER. DO YOU HAVE AN ALL TIME FAVORITE WATCH?
My all time favorite watch is the Omega Speedmaster...
@@WatchAdvisor it would be awesome to bless you with one.
Amazing watches
I couldn’t agree more
I do feel it a bit lazy to not have developed a bracelet option. One can debate how the rubber may be preferable. However at this level of watchmaking, neglect should not be done in offering basic options for the buyers. Previous generation of the Marine line had bracelets afterall.
I think the watch is too classic looking to put a bracelet on it. The rubber is the best of both worlds (dressy/sporty)
They are coming out with a bracelet for it.
Is this a cam lever chronograph?
Yes, that’s correct... The chronograph calibre is based on an ex Lémania...
Just to get the facts clear Breguet with guilloche dials use silver as the base material not gold.
That's not what Breguet say, the discs are cut from a solid bar of gold , engraved on a rose lathe and then the final coating is applied.www.breguet.com/en/house-breguet/unmistakable-signs/engine-turned-dials
Pound for pound, this watch is cheaper than Rolex and Grand Seiko.
Sb Sb ???? I don’t get the message...
@@WatchAdvisor what I meant is that Rolex and grand Seiko are way , way and way over hyped and over priced.
Sb Sb I got you! Thanks for clarifying!
@@WatchAdvisor it is hard to beat breguet for quality and history. no doubt about it. Up there with Patek and Lange.
Fucking amazing!
😜
Can you hack the seconds?
YES!
@@WatchAdvisor Thank you for replying. I just got into mechanical watches, trying to learn more. For some reasons, I think that most watches with small seconds dial cant not hack the seconds
There some who do, but it makes more sense to have that function together with as central seconds hand ...
I love this watch, but it's a little confused. Too dressy for jeans t shirt. Too big/ sporty for a suit.
Breguet are confused atm. Love the transatlantique. Should be a cheaper/ far better option to the Daytona, but they've made it gigantic. Shame
Roman numerials? Sorry thats very dated
Coffee Fanatic Dated? No! That’s part of the DNA of the brand BREGUET. From the very beginning on - the year 1775 - Breguet (pocket) watches always indicated the time with roman numerals... This is something that will not change so quick... even not after 244 years in 2019!
