just bought the hard case kit yesterday, they must have changed something as i have no problem igniting it by just pressing the main button, as far as i can see, the silver button is just for keeping it on once its ignited.

I found an easier torch to use is the rotherberger "Trigger" 10% of the weight to handle and can get into smaller places, i now have the superfire as a spare in the van

Very informative, cheers dude. Going to buy one to power my mini forge!

This will work really well if your a metal worker, not only to power your forge but carry out more detailed work like heating up just an edge or tip and getting out any bends, twists and kinks. 👍

Great video well done. How long (roughly) does a canister of gas last map type as I’ve just got this torch to heat rusty bolts on cars . Cheers

If that’s all you using it for it could last up to 6-12 months depending on how often you use it, thanks for the comment sir 👍🏻

Ryan Bourne I’ve got one mate, but had what was called a pencils flame tip for it which is no longer available for some reason, the part number was: 3.5658e I think! Have been searching eBay for years after loosing mine.

According to Wikipedia, MAPP only burns 50 degrees hotter than propane, and propane burns at about the same temperature as butane, namely almost 2,000 degrees. Unless you absolutely need that extra 50 degrees, which seems unlikely, you'll be better off buying a propane/butane mixture from now on, which is significantly cheaper than MAPP. If you get yourself a torch with a CGA600 connector, something like this
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dickie-Dyer-361700-CGA600-Propane-Heavy-Duty-MAP-Pro-Gas-Torch-Multi-Colour/153606289600?hash=item23c3a5f8c0:g:6uwAAOSwn0pdVrnC,
you can buy an adapter to use unmixed butane, which is even cheaper than the butane/propane mixture.

£50-£60 man I think I just got ripped off… paid over £100 for one without a container today 🫣 well the only good thing is I’m not a plumber so I’ll use it rarely which means I’ll be able to leave it for my children when I’m gone from this world
