The first book would leave you with 50% left, 2 with 25%, 3 with 12.5, 4 with 6.25, 5 with 3.125, 6 with 1.5625%, 7 with 0.78125%, 8 with 0.390625%, 9 with 0.1953125%, and 10 with 0.09765625%. You will never go into the negatives because the books are dividing, and a positive number divided by a positive number (in this case 50) is always positive. I am the smart kid.
