I have this exact set-up aswell. Only thing is the idle sound is really bad.. *puff puff puff!* I’ve been debating H-pipe to get a proper V8 idle, but now I’m puzzled😂
currently, i have an xpipe to straight pipe for sec. cat and res. delete. def cutting the xpipe out and putting in an h-pipe like you had. sounded perfect
That 0.75 inch H is the most over all best sound at every rpm.
@@nitish21 what if you put a even smaller bridge?
@@ashton.carvery3970 you can do a 0.5 it would make it even deeper most likely. The smaller you get the deeper and louder it will be. I currently went back to straight just for fun

@@nitish21 sorry for all the questions but do you prefer the straight over h pipe and did the straight pipe keep the iconic amg sound cause sometimes it’s hard to tell in video rather than in person
Just getting into w204 63s, did you tune the transmission for those snaps on upshifts or is that a stock feature enhanced by the exhaust mods?
So that's mostly in the tune. But yes definitely enhanced by getting rid of secondary cats and resonator.
I'm gonna miss the AMG v8s

I've been waiting on this video forever lol obviously straights are louder but is it deeper aswell? I just don't want high pitch sound, i want a thunderous sound.
So under lighter throttle is thunderous lol. But then as you get a bit heavy into the throttle it gets a tad bit on the rattly side if you know what I mean. The H pipe was very almost as deep, maybe not quite as loud low end but stayed deep throughout the rpm band. The straight is more audible at lower loads and speeds, so less work to hear it Stef you want to. More of that thunderous sound down low under partial throttle.
@Nitish21 did your sedan have a tune? Was one of them louder than the other or are they the same?

@Nitish21 only reason I asked about the tune is because late last year I met a guy in Oakville and he said all he had done was secondary delete and stage 1 Euro Charge tune and his car was RIDICULOUSLY loud and so deep. When he fired it up I could feel it in my chest lol. So either he lied to my face or a tune makes that much of a difference in sound?
@@thismanuelhung tune doesn't change the sound, nothing thaat noticeable but then again if both my cars were tuned then I don't really know what stock is lol. If it hit your chest it likely had headers

Straight is just 2, 4 cylinders. X and H are how it's supposed to be lol.
The only time it will be noticeable that the cylinder banks are separated is at idle.
H or straight really comes down to which you prefer. Straight is louder, but not too loud. I prefer straight I think… except for at idle, does not sound good at idle😅
The other guy has a C63s coupe. He seems disappointed. I wish my car sounded like that! I would be going crazy on the street.
We put his muffler back on and his car sounded prefect after he's much happier now lol

Double x on a 63? I don't know anyone that's ever done that but I guarantee it will not have that amg grunt
