Thank you for being straight forward about all this, but still going over the differences. This should help me with my testing! The added comic relief was helpful to keep me engaged as well!!
Excellently & brutally honest explanation !! Thanks !! From me, an ex-medical student who grappled with what emphysema meant at one time.. but now a full-fledged tutor of the pure sciences !! 🤗👨🏻🏫
Hi there. I did a physiotherapy degree and have watched a few of your videos to brush up a bit, in preparation for a job interview. I wish I had seen these videos back when I was studying, as you offer very clear and thorough explanations. Thanks!
Staying at home due to COVID19 self quarantine, then I found your video. It's so informative and helpful for me. Thank you! I'm a medical student in Taiwan by the way
That's the best comment that I've received in a while...I am so happy right now! Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it! Can you please help me by sharing?
if I'm a Patreon guy you would be the first one to be patronized, but unfortunately I'm not - just a poor medical student maybe in the future when I become a rich doctor, you deserve it ( you really do, you always make me happy)
How can dyspnea happen later in chronic bronchitis if the hypoxemia and hypercapnia occurs earlier? It seems contraindicative, I must be missing something. Great video, everything was crystal clear otherwise, thank you so much!!
i have asthma, apparently and i feel like i cant get air in, i cant put my face under water, the shower, a blanket. i cant breathe, i cant get air. i like a fan on my face, so it feels like i can get more air. do i really have asthma? or is information wrong?

How come you get hypoxia when the problem is actually with the expiration so it’s harder to expire oxygen meaning you have more oxygen in the body not less? Someone please explain I have a final and I’m so confused 😖
Bro, you expire CO2 and inspire O2. When you have problem in expiration, means you can’t expel your (continuously producing and entrapped ) CO2 . I.g less O2 in blood, thus hypoxia.

where was the intro video shot?
Mostly Colorado, United States.
No CO2 retention in Emphysema? I thought Emphysema is number 1 CO2 trappers.
Good point!
I meant “relative to” chronic bronchitis, not absolutely.
Huh. Cool, I learned something from UA-cam for once.
Paco2 has no thing to do with cyanosis 😢
exactly!!! so its not just me then. How would you explain the cyanosis?

Because in late stages, inspiration is compromised as well, although not as much as expiration.

IF a person did happen to only have one form of COPD, which would be worse?
Emphysema chronic bronchitis is very treatable not so much with emphysema, burstburst ale milk don't repair themselves.
Hyperventilation(co2 wash) occur only in emphysema (early resp alkalosis) and not in chronic bronchitis
Is this related to defect in alveoli?
it relates most to respiratory center adjustment
