I had a mugen style hardtop. It was terrible. The rear edge didn't have any gasket at all. You could literally see between the gap. The window seals were crap as well. Universal as said im the video. The windows never sat against them correctly, so they would whistle. Then to top it all off the hardtop fit like crap in the first place. The front edge wasn't shaped properly. So much wind noise and creaking. Going to get a better hardtop, quick releases, and a seal kit.
Hi Mark, we have a window installer silicone glue these all into the hard top. Same silicone they use with a front windshield installation. That is the most effective way we have found. You can email us if you have any other questions.
What about use poor boys with rep tops; can't we just use felt tape over our cheap seals on the bottom. Try putting memory foam inside the soft top latches that helps alot as well. Let me know more about your turbo kit
Does the brackets that come with your oem carbon roof package the "quick release' brackets that are also on your site? I tried calling to ask this, but no one ever answers your phones. Looking to order soon.
i originally went with forbiddens hardtop and have had no issues in the rear (using camper seal) but the seals for the windows piss water badly while i also have an issue of wind noise coming around the windshield. Do you think the seals would atleast stop the water noise? or if they even fit the forbidden top?
Thank you so much! After all the work we've done, to be honest we decided to make a turbo kit that is much more affordable than what's out there. Many benefits over Supercharger. Let us know.
I live in Ohio and love the hardtop you sell for the s2000.does the hardtop comes with the seal to prevent wind noise and creaking and are all hardware included? My only issue is I do not know a reliable shop in Cleveland OHiO who can complete the install for me? Do you have a network of mechanics where you ship the hardtop to their store and I can get them installed professionally? Please advise.
Hello, our hard top come pre installed with glass and seals. You simply have to install onto the car. That’s it. Any competent mechanic an do so. There is currently a waiting list for the hard top. You will want to get your order in soon to secure one. balladesports.com/collections/hard-tops/products/ballade-sports-carbon-fiber-oem-hardtop-for-s2000-version-2
We have them professionally installed with Silicone that turns itself into rubber. The same process used to install a front windshield. Any windshield installer can do this.
@@mikelmorgan6409 you’re welcome to buy the retainers from Honda, but they have been long discontinued. If you find some old stock somewhere it’s good. Just hard to find
The rear seal along with quick release hardware we sell should take care of that. Unless the noise you’re referring to is coming from the front upper latches. Those you can replace also.
This is fantastic. I want to get a hardtop but I was always concerned about the creaking noise other owners have mentioned.

@@BalladeSports I like the VIS racing hardtop with a much more minimalist look. It comes with the seals to prevent squeaking as well?
can this be used for a spoon hardtop as well?
The rear seal can but it is not perfect. Window seals are completely different
Can I buy just the rubber seals for my hardtop?
sure you can

Is it safe to assume that this will fit any any mugen style rep hardtop and will decrease wind noise as well? @ballademotorsports
Yes sir
How do you install the window seals? Is it double sided tape?
We have them professionally installed with Silicone that turns itself into rubber. The same process used to install a front windshield. Any windshield installer can do this.
@@BalladeSports hmmm ok. My set comes in tomorrow. I was wondering if i would have had to get the oem aluminum tracks and rivet them in

Jeez why is everything for a hardtop cost an arm and leg
Will these fit an OEM hardtop as well?
Of course, they are made exactly the same as the original OEM hard top seals. But not cost over $1000 for you to have them from Honda.
I have the OEM hardtop and is moving and sounding like shtt
