What I hate about the first phase of the Emperor boss fight is that the difficulty comes mainly from you trying to adjust to the brand new floating platform control system that the game introduces just for this fight at the tail end of the game. Fundamentally, this phase is incredibly simple, but because you're gonna fumble a lot with the controls for the floating platform, you'll often end up getting hit because you're still trying to get your fingers used to the counter-intuitive control movement mechanism for that platform.
As fun as this game is, it also can be absolutely tedious and this is one of the worst parts. If you reach to this point with an empty inventory, you will need to go back to Muramasa's shop... and good luck finding him...
There's a muramasa shop in the same area where you encountered Marbus for the first time. Thankfully not that far. Most annoying part of getting to him is dealing with all the ghost fish to there and on the way back, but otherwise, easily accessible.
What I did against the lasers as a kid was simply jumping off the flying rock, and their cycles will be over by the time Ryu gets on a new rock, most of the time at least. Tbh, I don't even remember all these patterns because of the camera and said jump off tactic😅
Is there a cue of some kind for when the big skull is about to swoop down to bite you? Usually he comes without about 80 seconds left on the clock but sometimes he completely throws me off guard by coming really early or really late. Would love to be able to get consistent full UT gleaming blade damage.
When you're up close to him, for example when doing inazuma then there is a very subtle noise you can hear before he comes down. Sometimes it can be random unfortunately but the noise is always there so if you listen carefully you'll always know when he's going for the grab.
@@spoofs974 that is also a problem... I don't even know where Muramasa is and, as far as I know, the map doesn't show where Muramasa's shops are located, so finding him again can be be a long and tedious journey.
if i go in the lava i die instantly and he only jumps on land twice and that not enough time to kill him, this is literally impossible and im starting to think i missed something and need to restart the whole thing. no thanks
How much damage is the lava doing? Just thinking you might be on Sigma, everything here applies but the lava does way more damage on Emp 2 so you've really got to be careful.
Don't go into the lava if it's not working for you. Stay on the ground and attack with the bow. Once he starts to launch the small skulls at you use fire wheel ninpo and don't attack, just watch for the big skull when it attacks you to dodge it. Finally when he jumps on the ground, use Inazuma.

My son must be waluigi
That boss from th3 collies
They saw waluigi lost to wario
He must be Egypt yes him
Isn't the emperor a HE?
Yes
Hard to say these days...trigger trigger
Nope, probably not, the first form of the emperor has huge knockers and a female face.
He’s referred to as male in several of the books and scrolls you find.
He's like Satan from Devilman, they both are referred as a "he", despite being both male & female
I don't have any healing potions, i don't know what to do..please help
Run back to muramasa
Yeah this boss choked my first speedrun attempt at the 4h mark lmfao
