Helped my dad and all these booth owners clear out a huge antique shop once. The men carried out the big stuff, the women wrapped and boxed all the little stuff. We didn't want to lift the heavy shit and the men certainly didn't want to play around with the tedious shit, and nobody had to designate tasks, everyone just fell into their roles. The women weren't less than for not being able to carry the massive wood dressers. We did the part that we could to the best of our ability and made less work for the rest of the group. This is teamwork; playing to strengths, not oppression. It's what gender roles have always been about.

@@theworld6710 They are arguable in a time of peace and prosperity, but when resources are slim and people are at war, we turn to males for their superior speed and strength and lateral thinking in crisis situations. When we are at war we expect our men to give their lives for ours, to put the women and children's needs before their own, when we are at peace, we treat them as toxic and disposable for those same attributes we used to value and wonder whey they get suicidal or angry or turn to booze and drugs.
You're completely right. I sometimes help my boyfriend who delivers furniture and it's usually like that. I help carry lighter things, too. The men always appreciate my work. Sometimes, the women get catty and judgmental when they see a (younger) woman show up. Go figure.
Very true. I'm on the stronger side, so I tend to do both jobs. I'll help the guys lift (team lift if necessary) heavy stuff, but I know my limit and I'm not stupid enough to think I can do anything.

It's not even anti male, it's them trying to invert everything that is normal and good. I know lots of us say that the left just hates masculinity but they really don't (though they do hate the things that come with it such as responsibility, order, etc.), they hate the fact that men are masculine just like they hate the fact that women are feminine. Which is why they're trying to make women more masculine and act like men, and doing the inverse for men i.e. making them more feminine and acting like women.
Liberalism is philosophically linked with Satanism. Both are 1:1. Lucifer seeks to invert everything that is normal and good, which God created. That is why he tries to make sex about pleasure and degrading your partner of the opposite sex and making buggery cool, rather than seeing buggery as disgusting and sinful (which it is) and making sex between man and woman about love.

Being an older divorced woman - there is nothing more terrifying than living with an abusive man.
As a 24 year-old young woman who also lives in a state/area where human trafficking is a major problem, I definitely feel safer when my father or brother are with me in crowded public places. Due to my independent nature, I kinda hate that I feel safer when the men in my family are present, but there’s no denying that I am safer in their presence than I am alone in many cases. I’d much rather be safe than sorry, especially nowadays in this crazy world, so I’m willing to forgo my sense of independence in order to ensure my safety.
Being independent doesnt mean no help ever, its quite ridiculous to believe "Im independent i dont need anyone ever" thats how people end up homeless and worse dead.

As a former construction worker - there were ZERO women ever.
Out of 30 years my father only worked with 1 woman.
Plenty of women work for construction companies. They work in the air conditioned offices making phone calls, filing paperwork, and running HR

I 100% feel safer with my husband home. I remember before he started his own business, he worked night shifts and I absolutely hated it. We aren't even in a high crime area and I do legally have a gun (a few) and I know how to use them. But just having him home at night was especially comforting.

When my husband and I walked, he always walked closest to the road. I lost him 15 years ago today. He had an unspoken way of protecting me and I loved it💔 I miss him and the comfort he gave to me by just being here.

It's so sickening to see misandry normalized in our society. We need a men's rights movement I'm so serious.
It's a game where the outrage shifts back and forth guided by the Z(ios) ✡️ who use division of the sexes and anything else to maintain control.
We have a men's rights movement. Most notably due to the societal bias in favour of women getting access to the kids.
It has been looked down upon as silly, attempted to be claimed by the feminists and even been lumped in with incel culture and the manosphere as those independent movements have risen.
So not only is misandry normalized but the very kinds of things that would insulate men from those attitudes are minimized and ostracized.
Just keep working hard, and let the women fight amongst themselves.

My husband is everything to me. Yes, i feel safer with him around. And more importantly, i love him as a person. Hes smart, funny as hell, and he is the positive influence on our children. He taught our son to be a man and our daughter what to expect from a good man.

An assignment I give to young ladies who appear in my office to complain about men and how privileged they are is to simply observe what they see men doing as they go about daily life. Invariably, it’s the road crews, linemen, hvac , electricians, tree workers, plumbers, roofers, masons, pavers, etc… who are keeping everything going, and are always men. Occasionally women are part of a crew , but it’s rare and they aren’t doing what they guys do.

The danger in that scenario is walking alone. Men get attacked too. Walking with someone is always better than being alone. If my son's walk about alone I would be equally upset as if it were my daughter. The world is not an nice place.

I watched some Eagles nesting cams this last spring. One thing that was fascinating is that the MALE eagle, by and large brought the large sticks and constructed the nest. The female then fiddled with the fine points, moved one stick to the other side, brought the soft grass and other stuff to make sure the chicks were warm. Even in the animal world, they have the same sex roles.

I have been a wife for almost ten years and I have been a stay at home mother for the last 7 or so, it is the best thing I will ever do. Devoting my love to nurturing and raising my kids and taking care of my husband who works so hard to provide for us brings me so much joy and satisfaction! Also, just because the Bible says submit to your husband, does not mean that men want to control and demean women, it also does not mean that they are not called on to listen to and respect thier wife’s opinions. The idea of marriage is one flesh, you treat your spouse as yourself.
Yes it’s work, very satisfying to be productive and have sweet little children around you all day though!

As a woman that doesn’t want to live the life you have I don’t get why so many people shame you for being traditional. I don’t want kids, I like working and I want to maybe get married and travel. People need to learn that everyone has different life goals. That goes for both men and women.

well gender conceptually can make sense, I mean I guess if you are talking about how men and women cross culturally or cross-racially are different or behave differently. But gender only exists conceptually from sex. as in it its very definition is inseparable from biological. sex. so why cant It ust be "sex roles'"? gender is a completely nebulous term speaking to semantics. because it cant be biological essentialism where gender identity is an innate attribute and also social constructionism at the same time. that is what we call a paradox. but truthfully our understanding of gender today is because when I was a kid, I remember gender being used to differentiate from sex in terms of PiV sex, so like you didn't confuse those two things. and fair enough but -this is totally serious- simply because of that gender started incorrectly being used interchangeably with biological sex by academics and in popular culture and the all of. sudden gender and sex were two different concepts totally divorced from one another. And that is why today we are experimenting medically on kids, all because people started using the word "gender" incorrectly.

Also saying that transgender women are the same as women is contradictory to that point. They want it distinguishable only sometimes. I don't think that comeback is as clever as you think it is. It certainly doesn't invalidate traditional gender roles for one, in fact that's a consequence of it: we are the traditionally more active pursuers of sexual partners hence more aggressive. One thing does not go without the other. It's not like living in a world without men is an option unless you're proposing a gendercide.
I think most men can recognize predatory behavior of other men quite easily. The problem is that women find horrible men charming and attractive because they interpret narcissism and a lack of care for others as "confidence" and "assertiveness" and "high social status".
Meanwhile the good honest nice guys are unattractive because they don't exhibit any high social status behavior.
It's really not men's fault women by default fall for bad people and ignore the good ones.

I’ve done all types of construction from masonry to carpentry to sewer and water work and also a mechanic. Never had a lady on the crew, not that we were ever opposed to having one, they just don’t wanna do that type of work.
Lots of women in carpentry but they tend to be on the more artistic side. Plenty of women volunteer to build homes for habitat for humanity or schools in impoverished countries. We’ll do the same type of work but we do it differently. Though I’ve never met another women willing to clean a sewer. That’s the line.

I went to visit my mother who has been living alone for a few years and I arrived in the evening. We were supposed to spend the day together, but she slept all day. It never happens to her, but just having a man in the house made her sleep for 12 hours!

My mother is widowed. I recently gave her my older car (and got a new one, boo to the yah). Old car still said "Proud [State University] Dad" on bumper sticker. I offered to remove it; Mother (grandma of my college student daughter) said no. "I want strangers to believe that a man normally drives my car." Gender roles explained, right there.
When a hurricane is coming, my husband gets us ready and prepared. He steps up to keep his family safe. When shit breaks down in our home, he does his best to fix it. He knows what he can't fix and will hire someone. Most times he can fix things. Thank God! I feel safer when my husband is home. Now don't get me wrong. When my husband is sick he needs to to help him and I'm glad to do so. I'm very blessed to have a real man as a husband.
I really don't understand the rejection of these ideals to the extent that people are nowadays. It feels so forced and disingenuous like 'look at me and how progressive I am'. In fact, my little brother (who is college age) is gay and 16 years younger than me. When he visits my apt he takes out my trash and if he sees a spider in the corner he takes care of it for me when I'm not dating anyone. There are so many videos online of women discussing solo travel and one of the main things they talk about is that they sometimes reference a non-existent male partner that's on the trip with them or they wear a fake wedding band to deter criminals. Look at the tik toks of women showing what they buy to protect themselves when they live alone; regular alarms, door stop alarms, locks that secure your door from inside, pepper spray, small knives, baseball bats etc. When I was in college before I had a car I would have a safety officer from campus come pick me up when I got off the train late at night after work two blocks from campus so I wouldn't have to walk in the dark.
Yes there are some things about gender roles that are outdated (look up where the phrase 'rule of thumb' comes from) but you can't deny the roles are separate for a reason and they serve a purpose. I have seen first hand in my own family what happens when men don't provide and protect women and children. It's damaging to the woman (she loses her softness and becomes less compassionate and kind) because she has to harden herself in order to survive without an effective and present male partner, and the children who are the result of such unions suffer in unimaginable ways (especially if they're boys) because their mom can't give them what they're lacking from a good, moral, male presence in the household or in their lives.
And when there's a military draft the attitudes sure do change.

My man protects me from spiders in the house - all I have to do is yell “babe” and he comes and takes care of whatever it is. I seriously genuinely thank him for this. Amongst the many other things he does I’m thankful for, this is seriously something I don’t take for granted.

That's a similar example to my Super. If something is broken in the apartment I have to call him. But if my grandfather was alive or if I had a husband I wouldn't need to call him. So it takes me a very very long time for me to actually admit I have to call the Super for help because it reminds me that my grandfather is dead and I don't have a husband. I also have to pay for the help some women get for free so when they cheat me out of money it feels so horrible because I don't have the same resources as most people do...and you're STILL trying to cheat me out if money that I need to fix things?! Boomers may be the last generation where gender roles were stressed. Even the mothers took an active role in it. One of the fondest memories of my mom concerned this. We lived on navy base housing. Every tenant was obligated to keep the lawn cut. Only males were allowed to borrow lawn mowers from the base. I, as a 13-year-old could, but not my mom. My mom told me it looks like fun to cut the grass and wanted to try it. I insisted to my mom that she as a woman should not. I told her I would cut the grass. My mom could have organized a protest to allow women to cut the grass. But no, she had a look of satisfaction that I was going to take on the role of a man. She allowed me to cut the grass. Can we take gender roles to an extreme? Yes. But, women of that time believed the development of boys into men was a higher goal.

My 10 year old daughter knows that men are supposed to be our protector. She was outside with her male best friend that she does homeschool with and it started to get cold, he took his sweatshirt off and put it around my daughter. We have never said that taking care of women is right, but because they are not indoctrinated by the public school system it is just natural for them.

I feel so much safer when my husband is home at night. The ONLY reason I feel OK when he isnt (he works 2-3 nights a week) is because we keep a handgun in our nightstand that is easy for me to get if I need to defend myself. My husband is my big bear man, my rock, and I'm so grateful to have him.
It's not common, but roos do attack people and when they do, they can kill. They grab you with their arms, lean back on the tail and kick at you with their claws. Slice you right open.
So, single woman here, single mother, living in the literal woods where we get bears and cougars. I feel safer HERE walking around at night by myself (with my cats trailing me, of course) than I did as a single mother living in a city. And my stupid front door frame was so poorly done that I can't properly close the door and I have to use a stopper to prevent it from being opened from the outside (like from my cats). And yet I feel SAFER HERE with bears and mountain lions and no proper door by myself than I did in the city, even when my brother who is 6'6" stayed with me. Other people are the GREATEST threat to a woman these days. THAT is why men are needed to protect.

And sexual assault which is more common for women is extremely extremely rare in comparison to regular assault. your also far more likely to be regular assaulted by another woman than a man.

Some places, being a single mother makes you an easier target because there is no one to scare off an intruder and the child can be used as leverage. And I say that BECAUSE it happens A LOT. I was in the hospital a few weeks ago and after one week they told me that I needed to stay one more week. Earlier in that morning my bride called and told me that she missed me so much and wasn’t sleeping and was generally slowly losing her mind.
I called the nurse and told her to get a Dr. in there quickly and when he got there and told me that I’d be just fine if I went home. I told them that they had one hour to process me out, and yes I’m ok and so is she!!!!
My coworker lived in my patrol area. When he worked nights, his wife was home alone with the kids. I had a routine in her neighborhood of driving through all the residential blocks several times at night. In Honolulu we drove our personally owned vehicles equipped with police equipment, lights, siren, etc. My car was on the little louder side due to an aftermarket exhaust. Anyways, she told her husband that when she hears my car cruising by the house, she feels at ease and safe. Even several other neighbors related that they can hear my car cruising around at night but happy that an officer is nearby...😆😆😆😆😆
Why should wives submit to their husbands? The simple answer is because women practice hypergamy. Of course, this argument does not apply if a woman married a man she felt was her inferior. My husband is a construction electrician. He loves it and is amazing at it! He once had a female foreman (boss) who made everyone’s life hell. All she did was talk down to everyone act as if she were the smartest person in the room. Obviously, she felt insecure as a female leader in a male dominated field. She ended up being let go 😅

Yeah women tend to get promoted easier in male dominated fields because of "diversity." which means female bosses are even more likely to be incompetent or jerks than male bosses. This then just makes women look worse towards men who consistently have bad experiences working under them. I wish more men today did take on the protector role. I have to say that I often don't see it. I've worked at bars where paid security guards let women be assaulted and stood by and watched. One time I actually had to punch a guy in the face to get him off of my friend and the male security guard said it wasn't worth it for him to put himself in danger in order to protect her. Another time I was in a car with two female friends and we saw a man beating up a woman down the street. He was throwing her into a concrete wall, punching her, and screaming at her. We started screaming at him to stop while we called the police. We saw other men on bikes start silently circling around them and they did nothing to try and stop the assault. We continued to scream until the woman started running to us and I opened the car door and let her in while the men followed. We drove off and I was able to see that the woman was covered in her blood. She was stunned that we helped and she said those men on bikes were her boyfriend's friends. I've seen time and time again men sit back and do nothing when help is needed. I know that this isn't always true and you are so right about men being construction workers and all of that stuff. I'm just saying that we have a masculinity problem right now. Many of the men I have seen stand by are men that would think of themselves as manly men. They may go to the gym and talk a big talk, but when it counts, many of them fail to protect those who need it.
and yet men are still far far more likely to go in and help than a woman would ever be. Most women wouldn't put themselves at risk even to save their husbands let alone strangers.
I also think it's sad that men are not allowing themselves to use their nature in a positive light, like protecting and such. Men are made a certain way from women, and to sterilize that, is so damning and sad tbh...

My husband is a 3 tour army veteran. He is all American Puerto rican tough as nails kinda guy but assist me in my women roles sometimes. He doesn't wait for me to sew his pants and I don't wait for him to screw things up. We swap roles sometimes. most of time it's him assisting me in cleaning, cooking, tutor etc. but 95% he does his roles and I do mine we are both well rounded,* But there is nothing more attractive than to have my man to be the provider, protector, handy man, smart, fun tough dad and hubbie.
