if you have the tabs for it, you can also do the lazy binary search method for selling. make a separate sale tab for prices from 100 ex down to 1ex, roughly halving in value each time. so you'd have tabs for [100ex, 50ex, 25ex, 12ex, 6ex, 3ex, 2ex, 1ex]. you start your item at 100ex, and every few hours you move it down to the next lower tab until it sells. once you start farming and have a constant supply of items, i like this method a lot. and of course exceptions need to be made sometimes, or maybe you use a different strategy for determining your tab prices, or how many, or how often you change them, etc.
When you said it probably wouldn't have much value and wouldn't bother selling it... I immediately thought "this guy hasn't price checked rings in POE2 yet." Forget all your barometers for what is good from POE1, that ring is actually kind of crazy because it's very difficult to get 90+ ele res on rings. There aren't many that drop, we can't chaos spam or alch/scour to force outcomes, and we have far less crafting currencies to work with. We simply don't have the luxury of getting 5+ good mods in most cases. We have to settle for 3 much of the time, hell sometimes even just two will do the trick. That's the state of the game right now. I'm sure we'll get power creep over time but right now it's kind of cool that items so far from perfect can still have so much value. In POE1 it feels like with rare items you need things that are close to perfect for them to have any kind of value.
If you put something up for sale, get spammed for it and don’t sell it. Most will just block you. Sell it off and take it as a lesson. Otherwise you may price yourself out of the market.
@ that’s true. It’s not a bad idea to find that niche of players who don’t care if you relist. Companies do that all the time, they just weed out the majority of customers. You wouldn’t want to sell a vacuum to someone who only likes to use a broom for example you know.

im a pretty firm believer they should be an in game auctionhouse for all items. trading like this is such a chore. currency exchange is GODLIKE. i want that for all items. every time i gotta tab out, leave my map and deal with people, im not having fun. im trying to play videogames, and kill monsters, not deal with people. let me do that please

they are worth what what you can get paid for them instantly. most people don't play for hours and hours. underselling is a very valid thing, if it means getting rid of it quickly.
My main problem with trading atm is: if I search something in most browsers the game will be in an infinite loading screen next time it has to load an area. Early acess stuff
Ive never used the "sum of" option, instead i do a count and list all the mods i could want then you just change it to either 1 or 2 or 3 and that's how many of the mods you want ontop of the mod you need

Remember weighted sum in this example only looked at the modifiers and NOT the implicit. You would have to include implicit rolls in your sum.

The problem with that first ring is that the search is only for explicit resistances, and the ring itself has implicit resistance.

1 of the main reasons I don't even bother trading lol. I can find/make my own items. I just want to play a game.
Making trade too easy will kill the game. It’s a chore so you end up not trading everything on AH but actually using your items and playing the game.

Currency exchange only does currency or items like audience with the king. Single Stack that are always the same. So no uncut gems.
