- These are 35Hz tuned subwoofer enclosures with a curved (Kerf) bass port vent. They sound perfect...seriously great bass. The subwoofers are Skar Audio DDX-15 D4 wired for 8-ohms. The cabinets are Skar Audio AR1X15V empty cabinets. All the hardware was purchased on Amazon. The donor subwoofer cabinets were Seismic Audio Baby Tremors (those are junk)

These Skar Audio sub enclosures are tuned to 35 Hz. The DDX -15 D4 subs Fs is 33.8 Hz. The specs on the sub recommend box tuning @ 36 Hz. So, a GREAT marriage. Very smooth and rattle free bass notes. I played some "trap" bass boosted videos -- they growl like big wolves. Really big wolves.
Nice project! How long did it take to assemble and tweak it?
Day project...about 4.5 hours total. Once I got one done, the second one was a breeze. Cutting those side handle holes was "measure twice, cut once". I didn't screw them up. They sound terrific at 300w max. However, can't wait to throw 3,000w at them. I got a big amp ready to go.
