    Is there a way to work what you divide the difference by to get the coefficient for sequences of higher degree

    Just a doubt... what if the third difference of the sequence is not six or its multiple?
    ie: what if its 3 or 10 etc?

      you would still divide by 6

    As shown: -1,1,-5,-25,-65

      This may be a late reply but i suggest this video : ua-cam.com/video/ckH7MaF_a8Y/v-deo.html. Its a bit long but help alot. The answer to that question is 3n^3 -4n^2 +7n - 9
