Founder & CEO, Flow, at FII PRIORITY.
On March 30-31, 2023, FII PRIORITY, powered by FII Institute, convened global leaders, CEOs, investors, innovators, engaged citizens and media for two days in Miami to craft a roadmap for humanity in today's challenging times.
Adam Numan is one of the most successful conman of our lifetime. I still don't get it how he is roaming around with all the cash he earned from the failure of wework!

Several thoughts about this pandering to the Saudis for startup investment money
1. Adam Neumann did not even say what his new start does.
2. Has Saudi Arabia even had even one successful startup company in the past?
3. Neumann is a truly charismatic founder and has had great success in raising funding from the Sauids through SoftBank.
4. Horowitz and Neumann not only want cash investments for Neumann company but for all of their other startups.

Funny how they had to justify the investment on Adam. He should add a third point, in history nobody has destroyed more shareholder value than Adam, from $47 billion to 517M right now :)

Adam talks about "community" yet what happened to the "community he created" at WEWORK? This was done in the 1970's where they had "only singles" apartment buildings. A fad that disappeared by early 1980's. NYC has like 9 million people living close to each other and no one really knows or wants to know each other.
@@gilrose12345 Great point. The entire goal of this presentation was to suck more money out of the Saudis who are very rich but terrible investors. Doesn't Marc Andreessen know that the Saudis do not like people like Horowitz and definitely Neumann? However this guy Neumann is very charismatic and he knows his reputation has been damaged in the America.

Crazy how talented Adam is at including the buzz words he has heard "in the last 24h" into his speech.
Also he uses his failing at WeWork as a background story. It almost gives his on stage persona some vulnerability that makes him more trustable.
There cannot be many investors out there who fall for his storys but he is great at convincing the few that enjoy his storys.

Its amazing to watch people talk so much but say so little. Or maybe I'm just confused. I don't really get how a company that stands for "bringing people together" will solve the global housing crisis that is actually just a spiritual problem? It seems like these people are courting the Saudis because as money gets more expensive here in the United States, this type of nonsense marketing becomes much less palatable. Like for anyone to invest in whatever Flow is, money needs to be basically free. lol
How is Adam still invited to these talks? He caused some massive PTSD in his former employees.

Sounds like they’re kind of giving up on the US. VC is upstream of new innovations so this a worrying trend. But it’s understandable when they can make progress so much faster.
This is great news. Flow would have made the rental market even more expensive and would have priced out people who are already struggle to pay rent.

Right. WeWork was burning money to create revenue by renting finished spaces for a fraction of their freemarket prices. OF COURSE your startups you were funding were housed there. DUH.
It must have been hot in that auditorium from all the hot air coming from that stage. Waffle, platitudes and nothing about the business. PR and warming up potential investors in the region and a friendlier audience than closer to home.

That’s because it doesn’t work lol. Both companies are nearly 10 years old yet neither companies have made a profit. The only winners were the early investors.
