Nurtured in Nature: Malia Manuel

It’s an exciting time to be a female in the surf world.
Malia Manuel can attest to this first hand. Over the years, Malia has learned how to take the good with the bad, all while becoming one of surfing’s most graceful and professional female athletes. Coming off a 7th place finish on the 2016 women’s CT, Malia is happy with her surfing, but knows there’s always room for improvement. That’s why she’s looking to get more progressive, improve her technique, and even push it a little harder in the big stuff (just not Jaws). We sat down with Malia and talked about the direction she sees both the sport and herself going in the future.
