Decibels are log base 3. Every 3 dB, the actual sound energy doubles. However, a doubling in the perceived loudness is closer to log 10, or the 10 dB you mentioned. I'd further state that "hearing safe" is dependent on your exposure level. For a single event in the whole day, sure you can get away with 140dB. If you're shooting a lot, you really want to be down around 130dB and you should probably be wearing protection. 115dB is loud enough to cause hearing damage (think occupational noise).
Good info truly makes me believe I'm doing the right thing by wearing plugs and over ear when I shoot center fire and plugs or over ear for standard velocity rim fire
The Keltec KSG shotgun barrel is externally threaded. The Mossberg 590 line barrels are extra thick. They can be threaded with the same pitch. Soooo. We had a smith thread the barrels of a 590M and a 590M Shockwave. And a regular 12 ga Shockwave. We also have choke adapter mount for the Mossberg 930 semiautomatic. It makes such a difference it is so enjoyable to shoot. Especially with subsonic shells. In the Shockwave configuration even with Salvo still in the 12 inch length the total package is only 37 inches long. The salvo is basically hollow so it is no where near as heavy as you might think. Only thing is the wads ride on rods inside the suppressor. Which in itself is great. Fine. But you cannot shoot the shorty shells as they have no wad. Other than that Salvo 12 is great.
"And you didn't even swear" "NP We have a great editor"! I like this information in the talk but I love the post commentary! Make sure to keep that on all the videos!

I don't understand sippressors very much but I definitely don't understand how they make it so the wad doesn't open up in the can
If you hunt with a dog. The dog will be pleased.
