cybersix's voice actress Cathy Weseluck has provided voices for many cartoons and anime series. She has provided the voice of Mirai Yashima in Mobile Suit Gundam, Dorothy Catalonia and Catherine Bloom in Gundam Wing, Near in Death Note, Shampoo in Ranma ½, Kagome's mother in InuYasha, Verne in U.B.O.S., Misa Takatsuki in Project ARMS, and Kid Trunks, Chaotzu, and Puar in Dragonball Z (among many others). She also voices Spike and several background characters in the animated children's series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. she voiced backup from reboot as well
Cybersix looks like a rule 63 version of The Shadow.

I read some of the translated issues and frankly, I was surprised it even got a PG animated adaptation! But the production quality is just so good, even OVA quality good enough for theatrical release. The 2nd to the last episode is my favorite one as it involved Cybersix having to fight off an assassin in broad daylight and without revealing her identity.

I think part of the problem re: Fox Kids was _Cybersix_ had a late August 2000 debut. This was around the time Saban floated _Vision of Escaflowne_ as a kids' show, as both shows debuted August 19. Saban made some weird decisions in the final years before selling Fox Kids to Disney.
It didn't help that the show started off the Sat AM block if memory serves, which is not good for a show targeting older kids.
Another reviewer found more about the original comic, and it is definitely not a kids comic, with nudity and sex as well as violence, so the fact that it made such a good kids show was amazing.

I know, right? His look and personality are so different from Rob's, yet they compliment each other perfectly. He would add so much to the show, maybe even get his own spinoff series.

But anyway..this looks pretty good and sounds even better .. Also, hear by i thought "Huntik" was an underrated show. It´s a shame it never got a second season. But it is defintily what i call a Hidden Gem !
Seriously..think of the plot for a second season .. Lucas fall in love with Adrien, and the redhair girl falls in love with Cybersix.. thats a lovetriangle with actually 4 persons..sort of ^^ brilliant

Apparently, they had plans for second season, but it got scrapped due to production problems and the show was not popular in America when it aired.

The theme song is just sad and beautiful at the same time. I remember watching the show when it was new. There is some translations of the comic online.
Definitely an interesting show I should look into, I’ll be honest like everyone else I’ve never heard of it until now. The TV Fox bumpers was also a nice touch. I’ll inevitably get into Patreon and request a show.
If they would’ve added more content from the comic books, the show could’ve been more successful- such as how Cybersix stole the real Adrian’s identity when he was killed in a car crash. I get things like that are difficult to incorporate into a kids show. But the problem here is that, rather than trying to rewrite the darker and more mature elements from the comic books, the writers of the show chose to drop most of them entirely. This really took away from the feel of the show in a noticeable way.
Cybersix is a good show but if only they put season 2 to explain everything

Apparently the show was actually cheaper than its contemporaries.

I watched this show when I lived in Canada for a while. It stuck in my mind because it looks western and eastern at the same time. Felt weird... aesthetically it was quite good and the OP song was great.

This show was an adult show . Not geared towards kids at all . The reason they don’t explain anything was because they thought people who’d watch the show would have read the comic . Von richter was actually a retired natzi. I loved the show .

I found like 2 chapter english translations of cybersix and a scattering of french and spanish. It is such a weird choice of adaptation for a kids series considering al the nudity and violence
I wish they bring the show back I remember it watching as a kid and was really interested in the animation and there wasn’t really anything else like it at the time I’d love to see the show come back.

On attack of the killer tomatoes the cartoon series they on-screen changed from biting the neck to kissing the neck.
I found you review after looking into Cybersix. It's a great show but like you said it lacked any plot.
I hope one day they decide to come back to make season 2, there's always hope for something like this.

some episodes are pulled from the comic the one where Jose kidnaps Lori the student is from the comic in the comic it turn out Jose is actually 27 and a rapist he went there with Lori it actually shocked me they adapted that episode.. Jose's father keeps him at a small stature in order to keep him from growing up and someday taking over .

CyberSix is one of those rare occasions when the animated show is better than the comics. It is a bit too desperate and it insists upon itself where it shouldn't. Not to mention how it easily shows the type of men that it was illustrated by and for. I liked them...I suppose but I wouldn't defend them. The only issue with the show is that it wasn't given a chance to grow and become something great. I am totally cosplaying as CyberSix. Maybe with a Power Ranger touch for Morphicon
