I'm privileged enough to have visited Iran twice and have travelled uninhibited. It was truely life changing. The people of Iran are good people, they hate their government and are gentle, sentimental, liberal people at heart. I'm so happy to hear of someone else discovering Iran ❤️

I’m not even half way through this video but I’m already feeling nurtured and safe. Some current heavy family trauma I’m walking through (on top of years of trauma cycles we’ve already experienced as a fam). I’m learning about how to heal/regulate the nervous system and help increase the capacity to function and keep going forward. Asmr is also a tool to help calm my system down. And you, sweet Jeannie represent/embody in your videos “it’s going to be ok” and “you are safe”. It’s like good medicine for my nerves! Thank you over and over again ❤️

My grandparents in the motherland still live a very traditional/nomadic life like that as well. The stories that I hear about the people in our village always amaze me. One time a very pregnant lady in the village was carrying around hay on her back (working as if she wasn’t super pregnant) when she suddenly gave birth on the road 😶 These women were literal superheroes. So very strong.
Those women are absolutely amazing! What a wonderful legacy you have!
Oh how I miss woodwick candles! My husband is allergic to nearly all fragrances so I can’t burn them anymore. But their sound is so soothing. ❤
you can make it yourself, just use pure wax and woodwick. I only like the light and the sounds they make. Parfums, any kind, are also a problem for me.

I hadn't heard of "The Women" before, but my grandmother was a nurse for the Navy during wartime, and she had seen it all. Thanks for sharing that book with us (I have to check it out for myself now)! Nurses, and women, are really the unsung heroes.

I loved The Women. It was very powerful. However, I really disliked the ending. I thought it was a cheap ending to a powerful book

There is a video where you read an etiquette book from decades ago. It was interesting to imagine the social codes of other times.
Right - it was a book for setting up a household in the early 1900s, I believe. I know I still have it...but not sure where. All our books aren't unpacked and shelved yet. :)

I drink TIAN HU SHAN jasmine green tea every day! I prefer mine iced and sweetened. It's so refreshing, and Im not sure if it's true or not, but I used to get kidney stones quite often, but I haven't had one since I heard green tea can help and started drinking it.

I visited the nomadic family show channel. I think these kinds of shows are produced to appeal to Western audiences by duplicating a Western family sensibility. Middle Eastern family dynamics are so profoundly different. And now I'm wondering if YT will even allow me to say this much.

I wish i could try the British tea it's not available arround my city here in Egypt ( it is not available in my area but you can get ot from far away cities not my city ) but I'm lucky enough to have a decaffeinated tea i got as a gift from the USA where my cousin lives 😁 next time will ask here for all the British tea on the market 😂 .. love you sweety ❤❤

Fantastic video Jeannie, it's helped me to relax a bit whilst eating dinner & feeling very unwell. My chronic illness has been kicking my ass for a week or so now. it's no fun! i'm so glad you recommended the book about the gut, as I myself have been suffering with gut trouble for years! I treat it with various supplements & tomatoes/tomato juice, but it's still not good, it doesn't get rid of symptoms, just eases them a little. it has made me so horrifically sick, which isn't fun on top of a major chronic illness, so I must definitely check that one out!!
As a kid I watched an animated version of watership down which aired here in the u.k in the 90's it was wonderful! I loved watching that & the beatrix potter animated tales too, such as peter rabbit (Rabbits are my favourite animal!) Another favourite was the animals of farthing wood. That is about animals that have to find somewhere else to live after humans ruin their habitat. Definitely ones to check out, if you like animation that touches you!
