That’s a bit of a dig at Tom and Phil!!
It's friendly abuse. 😅
@@FarmTheoryNI nothing wrong with a bit of slagging.
I agree with your comments about esg scores- it will become a tool to control what we do. We are having similar things happening here in New Zealand
Never knew people saw my videos in NZ!
Yeah I saw your channel a couple of months ago. Just interesting to see how different you guys farm compared to us in New Zealand
@@FarmTheoryNI, you have a few followers in NZ, me included. I love how you explain everything. It's such a different farming system here.
I never even knew ESG was a thing. Been living in America for a while now and there is no mention of that here at all
We need you on a podcast with Lex Fridman talking about environmental policies and politics around farming. lt would make people realise what the 'green' agenda is really about. Brilliant video.
I may work harder on raising my profile. 🤣
A sidemounted mower would lift the wheel when lifting the mower on a incline, a butterfly setup is more stable :)
That’s what annoys me about the UFU that you need to be in the inner circle to know what is really happening behind the scenes . Why keep anything secret from meetings and maybe more people with your thinking Andrew in the UFU things will change and they show some teeth to all this nonsense coming at farmers. Nobody getting my carbon if anything the soils need more carbon to thrive properly , simple chemistry , stop this carbon bandwagon UFU
I absolutely agree. The UFU needs to judge its success on how it engages with ALL farmers in N.I. Some very bad decisions made over the last 3 years imo.
great video. watch that hose when filling your sprayer 😂😂
It would have hurt. 🤣
Great video
Brilliant video. I also avidly watched This Week after QT with Andrew Neil and Choo Choo Portillo 🙂👍
Dream team! I miss them so much!
Would like to see a full video on ESG and that carbon side of it. Our local Creamery are onto something very similar to that and we think it’s all a total waste of time and it isn’t “voluntary” 🙄
Yeah, definitely doing it as a Wednesday video!
I actually passed you on Wednesday morning around 10:10 you were probably going to your second field!! I remember seeing your rig coming and you in the cab with your shorts on .. and thinking was that your man " Andrew " 😂
It's definitely an interesting mix of things in this video! Got to admit if i seen you driving along playing "it's getting hot in here," then I'd either laugh or think you're a pervert 🤣. Or maybe it's more for your wife 👍.
Here in the UK , I supply milk to Arla. We have a voluntary climate check option, which will probably become compulsory at some point. So every year, I need to spend a few hours filling various questions from dm of grass produced per acre to all fertiliser used and concentrates. Even cattle deaths, still born calves and total cow numbers. Silage analysis, etc. So I put it off because I didn't want the extra hassle and thought it was a load of rubbish, which it is! Anyway, I ended up doing it 2 years ago, and they calculated all the information, and I received 29 points, which I think it was an extra around 0.7 ppl.
So for this last year, I knew where improvements could be made and now have 36 points and receive 0.956 ppl bonus.
Arla got in early and have created value by being first. I will be asked to do the same but won't get the £10k bonus for my data.
I'd be annoyed, too, if I was in your situation. Time spent on giving data needs to be rewarded. I certainly don't have any complaints with Arla on that side of things. They are asking for soil biodiversity data now. I've briefly looked into it, and I will be supplying data if it comes with a nice extra bonus, too.
Some funny and entertaining moments in this. Thanks for sharing your week! I meant to ask in the two spreader video, but why did you need a hydraulic spreader for the front? Is it not possible to drive both with the PTOs like your mowers?
Front PTO spins the wrong way
Are you able to do a video on your gps?
i was thinking about Fertlizer too the other day and i agree with you it should still come down a bit possibly so not going to buy it yet either and between you and me I like the politics and loved that show This week , but its not on anymore , but that's between you and me 😉, we have had it dry here for ten days but the heat is not good either but i did put fertlizer on yesterday and we have a a good lot of rain and the grass is starting to move here in south west UK
This week was the best! I remember watching the last ever episode...
Take all the fertilizer money and invest it for a year. If the price goes up, hopefully you’ve covered it. If it drops, you’ve possibly doubled your savings.
Would you not use a clover safe herbicide?
The high N rates kill out the clover anyway. Tried keeping it alive last year with no success
unusual question what weather app are you using? btw great content......my swear words have changed to "oh my days" :)
0:21 NPK OCD 🤣👍🏼
'Ifya want cattle
pull the price'
Larry Goodman,
Ifya want to flog bag manure raise the price'

Just wondering when you think is the right time to do roadworks on a main road?
If it is a minor job on a major road do it after 6pm. For the sake of 3 or 4 staff not being payed overtime it holds up alot of people.
What weather app was that? Handy to see the coverage
BBC or metoffice
What is power beyond? What is the rough price of that spreader?
It's basically load sensing hydraulics. I don't know the price tbh.
Very interesting video as always. Do you mind me asking what weather app you were using in the video?
I think it was met office? Use the radar, it's good.
Thank you.
What about a farm shop?
Not convinced it would make enough money.
What you think of bottling your own milk and selling in a Vending machine
Hard way to make money imo.
It's actually you @ 2:54.... 😮😬😅.
It's actually not me!
@@FarmTheoryNI I believe you.
Where are you based
Omagh!
You sound like silly complaining about road works, you are probably first To complain if potholes . Why didn’t you go out earlier ?
They were pulling a phone cable through a man-hole, it happens ALL THE TIME!
Great video, what weather app is that?
How many cows do you milk over how many acres?and how often do you spread fertiliser over your grazing ground?
190 on 78acres grazing. We farm 350 acres and have 460 animals total.
How often do you spread fertiliser on your grazing ground?
🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍🙏🙏💪💪
Whilst I don’t agree with the perspective you voice on ESG, and think this has genuine value, I also think this value for corporates (and govt who are driving this through their supply chains) needs to be paid for. In my industry any such changes to the cost base are in our prices and have margin on top, but for agriculture this probably needs to be an extra charge due to how prices work. E.g market price for a cow/sheep/milk/grain has a % levy on top that the buyer pays to gain access to the ESG info they want.
ESG scores demand fairness in how people are treated under the "social" responsibility... Yet the retailers have decided to FORCE family farmers to do the work for free and hand over their data for free. Makes zero sense.
It's a demonic scheme set up by Blackrock and Larry fink to break everyone bar the big faceless soulless corporations already at the top so they'll be the only ones left when all is said and done, since no one else can absorb the costs nor withstand the upheaval and displacement this will cause in entire industries and sectors of the western world's economies.
But remember, the WEF did promise "you will own nothing and be happy" because only the fat cats at the top will be left owning anything.
