@@Laymanrhey, I do not know if you're actually aware of who Pastor John Roughton is. Pastor John left the luxuries of America, sacrificed the course of his children's future to come to Nagaland and help the Naga people. He has served in Nagaland for over 30 years. He has brought nothing but a positive impact to the Naga society. His ministry has revolved around spreading the good news, integrity, honesty and service to others. If a man has sacrificed more than half his life to serve the Nagas, he definitely is a brother and son in law of the land.
@@geoffreydaniel4557 Nagaland is a Christian Majority state, What's there to sacrifice? As for luxuries, he is not living like a pauper here either. Com on look at the Church for god's sake.
It's not Fair on the part of the state government or Central Government ,they dont respect an honorable person & the Osc dept by denieing Pastor John from Dimapur Nagaland . It's a shame & disgrace to the Christian state Nagaland ( N.E.India ) .
Well said sir, praying for supporting pastor John family at this very injustice situation, sign the campaign letter and sharing with friends and to our people to support, God will do his will in his own time humble prayers.
I think Swamiji (Cow Protection) forced to return from Nagaland that's why... And i think as a secular country he has right to give awareness in Nagaland too as we spread Christianity over other states.
He doesn't need to provide any reason for his return to India. He is not here on a work visa. He is an Overseas Citizen of India which gives him the right of permanent residency in India, with a lifetime Visa. He can visit India for any purpose and any length of time.
What has the Nagaland govt to do with this issue? I believe he is not an indigenous inhabitant of the state. Instead of this press conference why dont his family approach the court .
@@Laymanr Dear beloved bro or sis whoever you are. Yes the family will approach the court if the concerned authorities doesn't reply as clarified in the press conference. FYI pastor John is a OCI(Overseas Citizenship of India)card holder staying in India for 30years sacrificially leaving the luxury of America uplifting families, youth and society as a whole. He is married to an indigenous inhabitant of the State from Sumi community. He has every right to be united to his wife and children. He is the son-in-law of Nagaland. If a husband of a Naga woman is being denied entry to India then isn't the responsibility of the State Govt to intervene? What if your father is denied entry to India? What if your mother and sister longing to see her husband and father back home? Will your statement change?
As he is an OCI permanently residing in Nagaland, the Nagaland Government has the power to intervene. The Nagaland Government can work with the MHA at the centre to help bring ps John back. Please be informed that ps John is an Overseas Citizen of India. He is not here on a work visa.
@@Laymanr Do you know what OCI means? He can permanently stay in India. The Constitution of India provides this right to an OCI. His home can be in INDIA and USA as well as per the law of the Land.
As an Overseas Citizen of India, India is as much his home as the US is. The law allows him to live in India for any length of time and for any purpose. At this juncture, let's all be united and pray that a pastor who has spent half of his life in Nagaland spreading the good news, working for the poor and broken be brought back home. He has done more good for Nagaland than one can ever imagine.
@@Laymanrfirst of all, ILP is not required from OCI holders anywhere in India. In Nagaland, foreigners and OCI card holders do not require a PAP as well. All they need to do is register with the police 24 hours after their arrival. All documents required from Ps John were in place. Also, the context here is the fact that an OCI was denied entry to India on no specified grounds, which is against the law.
All that Pastor John has sown is the good news. The impact he had on changing nominal christians to victorious believers, especially in the 90s and early 2000s was instrumental in shaping the current Naga society. Please do not spread hate or wrong propaganda. At this point in time, regardless of your belief, we must all stand united and believe for John Roughton's return.
@geoffreydaniel4557 i didn't spread no hatred or propaganda. And iam not judging what he has done or said i dont even know him. iam just saying this because that is what I believe in,Because recently we didn't allow that a Hindu high priest to Nagaland so maybe they are now doing the same to a religious leader of ours, just guessing but that's what I think they are doing
We fully support You. You are son in law of the land and You have every right to be here in Nagaland.
India is a democratic republic sovereign country and has its own written laws and rules.. no one is above the law. Let the law takes its own course.
By this logic Miyas are also Son in Laws, well most.
