I couldn’t not agree more with what you said about how hard it is to make the switch from only A’s are acceptable to simply doing as best as we can but not putting too much pressure on yourself. It’s something I know I need to do, but it’s easy to forget.
I have no interest in pt but I love your videos. I use them as motivation and kinda study with me while doing my own homework. You're so calm and sweet and these videos are so interesting.
Hi Kristen. I’m a student from GA and I was looking at the Mercer program for DPT. My biggest concern is that I have an 80 lb dog who needs lots of love and care. I’m not sure if DPT school is doable while I have him. I was wondering if you have any thoughts or advice for me! Ps. Love the video, it has a lot of good personalized info that most other videos don’t share
hi! thanks for watching! a lot of people in my program have pets, including large dogs. I think its definitely doable, especially the first 2 years of program when you are on campus. live as close as you can to campus (lots of apartment options or Mercer lofts) and you can walk him during the 1 hour lunch break. weekdays on campus are typically 8-4pm ish. keep in mind though what you will do with the dog during year 3 when you are in clinical full time. are you able to live at home and have your family help if you are at clinic 8-10 hours straight? hope this helps!
hope you guys enjoyed this video! if you have any other questions that I didn't answer, be sure to leave them in the comments & i will answer them :)
