I never realized how similar this is to one of the basslines in Bitches Brew until now that it’s done with a standup bass tone. Interesting. I wonder if that was intentional because Fripp was a big Miles Davis fan in the early 70s, the Islands lineup was really pulling a lot from that influence.
I figured out this bass line by ear in college and never realized it had such an odd signature. Granted, I didn’t know ANYTHING about time sigs at all. 😂
