As someone that has played nothing but 5e for the last few years, I’ve joined a group played Pathfinder 2e. Knowing nothing about the lore of Golarian, this has been very informative! Thank you and keep up the great work!
I DM’d my first homebrew PF1 game and ran 4 1/2 yrs. I created a new Australia-sized continent far South of Azlant. The PCs didn’t even figure that part out for 2-3 years of game time, when they discovered an ancient library and lore that described how an exploratory group of Azlanti ships set sail a few weeks before Earthfall. The tsunami wave pushed them far south and they landed on this new continent.
Lands of the Linnorm Kings is my favorite setting so far. Working on building a campaign there that will sort of merge into a “how to train your dragon” setting (basically just going to homebrew some dragon riders systems and give each player a dragon) since my daughter is really into that franchise
I Love pathfinder but simply dont have what it takes to learn all this lore myself. I feel like yoru videos open up thsi world to me. seriously thank you.
As always a great video. Your videos really help me as a gamemaster to improve my gamesassions.I look forward to every one of your vids. Keep it up ! Best regards from germany!
I will be getting back around to nations soon, but I have a line of videos setup first that cover history of Golarion, then the different planes of existence and how they interact then once finished I'll be covering races, deities and nations again!
awesome Can you please do a deeper dive into Broken Lands? :) Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous are both based in there, and I'm always having some difficulty with the constant name dropping of areas (even with the ingame lore hyperlinks)🙏
I will do my best to move it up the list, I'll try to get it in the first bits of November, I've got 5 videos coming out this month and I'm almost finished with the 3rd of 5,but I'll definetly move the broken lands up the list :)
well, so I've been playing both Pathfider games for dozens of hours each, and it turns out that both games take place in a tiny section of Broken Lands? what a very promising world and lore to make a lot of series like the elder scroll, it even seems the world of the elder scroll (nirn) is just like a city compared to a golarion maybe lol
love the addition of humor to the education! glad you rolled high on your med check. keep up the good rolls. that sarusan island sounds rather interesting hopefully my dm remembers to include that in our game
Nice work! Don't overwork yourself. Btw you have a great voice/pronunciation, even as a non native speaker i could easily understand everything you´ve said.
Thank you! 😃I really strive to pronounce everything as slowly and clearly as I can, which is sometimes difficult cause in my everyday speech, I tend to slip pretty deep into my southern lol
Dude I love your videos! I have a request that I think would be useful for everyone, if I may. Is it possible to separate information from 1e and 2e in some minor way to not interfere with the current structure of the videos? (like writing 1e or 2e on screen when explaining bits of lore that are particular to that edition). A good example in this video would be to mark the section talking about New Thassilon as 2e.
Azlant has been inhabited since at *least* the Age of Darkness when the strix migrated from Arcadia. Many settled there and it's been a homeland for many tribes of the species for many thousands of years. Then there's the Locathah, who also inhabit its shoals.
Hehe. I liked the memory loss bit. I'm gonna check out your discord. And just so you know, the three end title card links were empty. Not sure if you are leaving them as placeholders, but even the center one is empty.
I made a template to use that I'll eventually add graphics to, and I believe I may have left it in the video accidentally, but as long as the end cards show up, it shouldn't be to out of place. Thanks for the heads up!
Amen to that! I fell into the same trap, and man did it seem overwhelming. Even now, I usually use the golarion setting with my own events happening, which severely reduces how much world building I have to do.
@SirVertigo well your videos have helped me a lot so thanks. I've gotten a nice outline for the first session and now I'm watching your videos to get the details
@@MrFahqup well thank you for that, that's exactly what I hope people use these for. I know some of its an info dump but it's hard to avoid that when your discussing multiple nations in a single video lol
@@SirVertigo I mean... it's like centuries of lore across all them continents. I imagine it's hard to get to everything. I'm playing a Grippli, so any info I can get on the Mwangi province is huge, but unfortunately in short supply. I shared this with my DM and game group. We have a group of mostly first time players, and this type of stuff is great for immersion. I'm really looking forward to your next series on the major historical events. I had a nature cleric whose guild was tied to the eye of abendego, so it will be interesting to see how close I got. I mostly have trouble with the timelines and when everything takes place in relation to current golarion events.
@@MrFahqup Well, I plan to do history of Golarion, major events only next, then I wanna discuss the planes, shadow plane, Ethereal etc, then I wanna move to races like, human, elf, grippli as you said, and Deities, Abadar, Desna, etc andd from there, I'm just gonna jump around to interesting topics. I've had requests for old Man Jatembe and Mwangi, so I think Mwangi will be a relatively soon video.

The Pathfinder universe is so badass. Not a TT player, but the two recent games have really turned me onto this franchise.
That's the cool thing, the lore is good enough that it's actually fun to learn even if your not a player or gm!
Another Pathfinder UA-cam channel.
You have my support!

Thanks for the content! I always appreciate people making pathfinder lore videos
I Love pathfinder but simply dont have what it takes to learn all this lore myself. I feel like yoru videos open up thsi world to me. seriously thank you.
My pleasure! I read when I have downtime, but I am fully aware of how hard it is to have that much time, so I wanna share!
Really getting into the new Pathfinder world after all the major PFS events the past several years.
Another great video. I've really enjoyed chilling to your Lore vids. Glad to hear you're better.
Brilliant! I'd love a video on the River Kingdoms if you have time to do it! Keep up the good work :D
Thanks! I will definitely get there in time, but for now, I'll add it higher in the list when I get back into nations!
@@SirVertigo That would be great for us Kingmaker players who know nothing about the lore.
I've been looking for a video like this for a long time. I'm excited to watch your other videos as well. Excellent.

Much appreciated! I'm glad you're enjoying them!
Great overview. Looking forward to deeper dives in the future!
Awesome work mate!! Subbed - love Pathfinder/Golarion lore, brings a real grounded feel that I love in WotR and KM.
Thanks mate, I’m loving your work
Great video! I got here winding through PF lore in preparation for Savage PF, so this was a treat!
Keep up the good work Sir, your videos are always an entertaining watch
I'm just finding your comment, following lore videos on related games and settings and so far I am enjoying your format. Best of luck!!!
Thank you for this video. Its an easy listen and a great overview for me to start learning the lore of this world
Thank for this. More lore video please.
Loving the videos. Keep it up!
Great overview of geography and lore . Very useful to introduce players new to Golarion . Thank you
Nice job! Hope you do more regions in detail or maybe talk about the Pathfinder Society itself next video!

Maybe he already has, and you just mysteriously forgot!
@@SirVertigo sadly it isn't a lack of memory more so a lack of a session lol. our session 0 is this Wednesday.
This videos are great hope you can get back to the weekly schedule soon
Glad you're back!
It would awesome if Paizo release lore about Sarusan, Casmaron and Arcadia! Thanks for the video.

Great videos. Thanks.
I need a copy of that book!
This was great, thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
What a great video!! Bestiary 3 added a lot of creatures of Tian Xia no? I'd say that there'll be some adventure path in Tian Xia soon haha.
That would be cool! I believe there's actually a Tian Xia adventure right around the corner, by the name of fists of the Ruby Phoenix!
Great video!!!

Thanx, very good and concise. Do Qadira next if you can please.
Coming soon! I'm doing the Planes and Races atm, but I will wrap back around to nations soon!
Where are these maps and pages from? Great video!
Those are from the Second edition World Guide! Great book, bridges the 10 year gap between first and second.
@@SirVertigo awesome!
I need more info on bloodhall. Got any please?
anyone know where to buy a giant wall sized poster map?
So hey, is this 1st or 2nd Edition as far as the context of history has gone for Golarion?
All my vids go up to 2e,so all of it is as current as the inner sea guide gives!
Wish they made novels in the world of Golarion :(
They do! There's series of novels that take place all across Golarion and they're really good!
Hey are you 1 of the 2 guys that does the subclass reviews for D&D? I forget the channel name. I'm pretty good with recognizing voices.
I am not, i only make these pathfinder videos and I've never done any other videos lol

Let's goooooo
this might be my only chance to ever say FIRST! also, great video.
