My grandmother was Irish, one of 13 children! She had a beautiful connection to nature. She had dancing blue eyes, a smile that lit up a room and a teasing, merry laugh that sounded like a joyful tingling sound of distant wind chimes. She was 4 ft. 9 inches and called me her "little woodland fairy" for my hair was wild waves of red and gold spun together and I danced on my toes everywhere I went. I LOVED HER Beyond words could say. We were at peace in her gardens, working to keep "the flowers dancing" and the food to share with our neighbors. She taught me so many wonderful gifts of inner wisdom. When she passed at age 80, we expected it to be just family at her funeral. But to our surprise...a line was formed...TWO CITY BLOCKS LONG! Whole generations of families came to "pay respects" to the neighbor who had made soups, breads, cookies and pies, feeding those she knew were struggling, while also keeping her own family fed. She did this thru two World Wars, as well as during the Great Depression...and still was making cookies for ALL the children in her neighborhood right up until she passed. Even her postman and paperboy were there! Your way of wise words, your morning tea ritual, the beauty of your gardens and land...it reminds me of my dear Irish grandma and all her stories and descriptions of Ireland that I heard in my childhood. Thank you so much for your beautiful vlogs...I feel my Irish grandma in my heart each time I watch your vlogs.

I always seek out videos and information from the era's of grandparents like yours. People are so different today. I feel kinda sorry for my fourteen year old son not having any grandparents either.

I think raspberries are one of my favourite fruits so expensive in the supermarkets can hardly wait until the blackberry's ripen, i usually have overnight oats with either frozen berries and seeds or bananas they keep me full until dinner time in autumn I stew apples and add cinnamon to add to my oats

Here in San Diego, we have to keep our cats in most of the time for safety reasons. When they do go out, they are on leashes and under our watchful eyes. I know they'd love to be frolicking out in the garden like Charlie and the gang😸🌿🌷🍀🌸
