  • Just as playing tennis is very much a matter of muscle memory, these clips filmed in 1990 employ a technique of visual-memorization using sound and repetition. Chrissie shows the basics on forehand, backhand & serve ~ Perfect for anyone who wants to try their hand at a sport for a lifetime. (pt 2)

No wasted movement, so balanced and poised. She’s trained her body to do exactly what her mind want to do . Today people hit with an open stance but these fundamentals are and will always be sound advice

She knows of what she speaks. She had the most feared return in the sport throughout the 70's and eighties

I wish someone would start up a senior ladies tour so that I can watch Chris Evert play. There wasn't much broadcasting of tennis on television when I was growing up and I missed so many of her best games.

I wish there was a senior ladies tour as well, but Chris wouldn't play in it. She's 63.

That little girl is older than most of the ladies on the WTA tour these days.

She is doing the Roger Federer follow through on a lot of those shots.

No one better than Chris evert to talk about return of serve. She ruined the reputations of some women who had big powerful serves, many of whom ended up double faulting quite bit under the pressure from Evert, making matters worse.
