Just purchased a Napoleon Prestige 500. This video sold me on the basket. I’ve never been able to perfect the crispness of the wings. Looks like I can’t go wrong with this recipe. Thanks for sharing.
I did these today exactly as you describe, even using the same rub (even though the packet says cook naked and then apply the dust, i did it your way). Absolutely delicious dipped in franks! Crispy skin too, thanks!
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you enjoy the content! I use the basket for veggies all the time and they turn out great. Throw some brussels sprouts, diced potatoes, onions, and you have an awesome side. I've seen people also use it to make french fries.
For me these were the best wings I've made. I definitely prefer direct vs indirect and the basket allows for even cooking all over. The basket definitely outperformed my expectations.
Thanks for the video. Would really like to know how many wings it would hold before I pull the trigger. Website says 50 but that seems like a lot. Any idea?
@@KamadoMax wow, yep that's a lot. the wings are not like they were 50 yrs go, lol. i think that's because the chickens of today don't fly like they did the free range days

Had it on order way before I seen this video, the anticipation is killing me

Looks awesome good job
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey love your videos! What else do you use your Napoleon basket for? Anything else besides wings?

Great video...waiting on Costco to run a sale on the kamado joe
That's smart! Definitely the best place to find the best price!
How do wings turn out in that basket vs putting them on the grates? (Indirect or direct) I'm on the fence about ordering the basket.

Thanks for watching! 50 might be pushing it depending on size. I would probably not go more than 30 at one time.
Is that the KJIII classic? I want to buy the Napoleon 64000 basket but want to make sure it fits the KJclassic III.
I have the classic 2 but the basket will fit your 3!
how many wings can you cook at one time in the basket ?
I think you could definitely fit 2 dozen in there depending on size.

Drink every time you hear crispy.
Would you brine the wings first?
I usually don't but if you have the time you definitely can!
