    Thank you so much for your great video, I’m not a pro in this field but I just cleaned and unclogged all the dispensers especially the fabric softener one and leave a big fan in front of the washer for about 6-7 hours and it works, I’m so happy 😊

    Really helpful video! Saved us so much time disassembling the housing etc. I stopped using powder detergent 30+ years ago for the same reason. I use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer instead of bleach and the load and drum smells so much better.

    Great job @jpulley - excellent detailed instructions on all the nuances and tricks to disassemble that panel. Mine has repeated the leak and LC1 error after I thought it was just plugged at the softener part of the drain - it may be that main section you highlighted, so will get into (I'll first just try some really hot water down there to see if it clears! Again, thanks for s super-detailed procedure - much appreciated!

    I made the mistake of putting a tide pod on the top flex wash and since then anytime i run the top, it leaks water and goes to the bottom. Any advice on how to fix that? Or would remnants of the pod be stuck in that same hose that you squeezed?

    One of the reasons that this happens it fabric softener. Try using vinegar instead and it should not clog. Thank you for the video of how to take it apart these things are a pain in the butt if there is any issue.

    Awesome video. So do you think the root of the problem is because you were using powder detergent rather than liquid? After your switch, u continue to have the LC1 problem? Thanks for sharing.

    • @jpulley
      @jpulley  Рік тому

      I think liquid would have been a lot harder to plug even if my daughter put 4 times too much. However, I think if you are using a normal amount of quality powder that has the "he" (high efficiency) on the box you should be fine.

    Here goes my SIMPLE FIX WITHOUT TAKING THE ENTIRE THING APART. I first drained the unit from the bottom door drain plug, then I unplugged the unit, I cut a 8 foot piece of thick weedeater string, doubled it up and crammed it down each little opening where the detergent and softener goes. I did it about 5x on each one then poured almost boiling hot water down each opening then repeated that process one more time, plugged back in and problem solved! Took less than 15 mins😂🤷🏼‍♂️

    1LC1 is usually because the softener dispenser is clogged and overflowing due to the stupid little disc in the line that gets plugged with softener. The water overflows and hits the leak sensor at the bottom of the unit. Quickest fix I've seen is steaming it through the dispenser. I'd open the line and remove the disc or it will happen again. All the disc is used for is to more evenly distribute the softener. Unnecessary! Or better yet, don't use softener at all. It's not good for the machine even though it's supposedly designed to use it. It's also not good for your fabrics or your skin. It is wax based chemicals and coats and gums up everything causing machine sensors to eventually malfunction and towels to be less absorbent, etc. Use a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of 5% normal household distilled white vinegar instead. You'll be amazed at the results and save all kinds of money on the softener itself, as vinegar is way cheaper. Also will save money in the long run on machine maintenance and new fabrics. This goes for Dryer sheets too. Although they are not as intrusive as the liquid softener. Great video!

      just remove the front boot spring , pull back the door boot and reach into the bottom of the lock grab the pull strap and pull it down, it will unlock ... or drain out all the water out buy using a shop vacuum on the end of the drain hose, and then plug in machine and hit start and it might unlock door...

    Where is the water supposed to run out to?

    • @jpulley
      @jpulley  Рік тому +1

      If you get that code the water has run out to the floor. The sensors in the bottom of the washing machine has sensed the water and shut the machine down. You generally just need to dry the sensors out. Possibly replace one or both of them. Opening the machine like I did will allow you to dry out the sensor and or take car of what even cause the water to overflow. Usually some kind of plugged drain as it was in my case.

    • @jpulley
      @jpulley  11 місяців тому +2

      My detergent is "HE" but when your kid uses like 5 scoops anything can happen. I probably could have used better wording. I meant the is the full teardown to fix the 1LC1/LC1 error code. Some other people will say to fix this error code you need to get to this part then dry it out or replace it. They never show the steps to get to those parts. In hindsight I maybe should have used the phrase "step by step to fix that code" I'll change the title but I'm probably won't be making a new thumbnail.
