Happy memories of a great trip - and 2024 trip was superb as well!
Emotional this sunday morning show,
Met my wife at Lykia links 12years ago.
So good to see the course again 👍
I like this new format of the sunday morning show.
Looked a great place , Hotel and the facilities look amazing
Bloody marvellous content, off to the Vale in July with 23 fellas, can't wait...
Wow, amazing looking courses. Looking forward to the vlogs and James in action again.
i golfed in turkey in 1970 at the u.s. airbase i was stationed at. it was a dog track but we got to golf there. the new resorts look really nice.
James is the best person to have on this channel. What a player and what a nice guy. Great video. Would love to have a couple lessons with James.
Delayed, but worth the wait! Beautiful looking courses and complex! Looking forward to the trip to the Belfry later this year. Catch up soon!
Turkey is a fantastic venue. The Carya and monty were my favourite courses
Good afternoon, Dan. I was in Turkey for 8 days. 10 to 18. of Februaray. We stayed in the same hotel sueno golf hotel . Have you played sueno DUNES and PINES. The greens were not so fine. But 8 People from old cold germany had so much fun and good golfing weather. I would like to go around with you next time. Best regards Jörg
Hi Jorg, we are just organising now another trip for Feb next year 👍 we will be heading to Turkey again and focusing on some of the other high profile courses 👍
Great vlog. Turkey golf trip definitely on my bucket list after seeing this. I turned pro in 2003/4 and played in Europro events - the first ones in Spain at the time.. I was older than most of the other players - hit it about 270 off the tee - the distance of the others on tour then was about 20 yards ahead of me. Short game saved me. Now the average distances are easily 60 yards further. Players are hitting wedges 30 yards further so its not just the drivers. I admire anyone who plays on any tour now because the power and skill levels are so much higher than they were 20 years ago.
Well jealous. Hope everyone had a great time, I'm sure they did.
Looked amazing
Looks bloody epic!!
I've been to that destination in Turkey before and the video does not do the area justice. The site is so beautiful and the courses so spectacular that it is unbelievable. Lucky for you boys that you no where near the earthquake. Enjoyed this show. Keep up the good work. It is quite difficult to win tournaments now if you are reasonably long off the tee. Hitting wedges into green instead of long irons is a huge advantage. Golf, now, is a real sport and is no longer an old man's game. These players, men and women, are true athletes in fantastic shape in every sense of the word "athlete". Cheers
Looks amazing ...maybe next year I'll be able to join in the fun!
Wow what a setting the wait was worth it I do wish I was in the position to join you boys on these ventures.
It’s hard to get the distance that these guys can get the ball out there these day’s fantastic to see but only a dream for me lol and the distance off the tips is incredible.
As ever a great vlog dan and I certainly think that everyone who came out there with you absolutely loved it,so keep them coming DHG
Looks wonderful Dan, very envious 😁
Thanks, Dan. That's another great Sunday Morning Show to add to the list. More of James would be good if it's at all possible with his no doubt busy life.
James’s explanations were brilliant. Haven’t been out to Turkey for about 6 years, must get back soon.
The place is stunning even when your struggling with distance. Got to be dialling in that short game 👍🍻
The hotel complex looked brilliant and the course daunting. James and his instructional skills seemed just so easy for him. Very at home on ball flight etc. Maybe a vlog or 2 of the trip soon is on the cards? I for one hope so. Well done DHG
last year lykia was in an awful state generally .but the greens were best in belek ... just got back from gloria , been sueno a few tim esz , its nice ,and you will be impressed , til you go gloria ,,,, its miles better , deffo a class up and ive been to quite a few ,,,
Brilliant vlog. Very informative, like the driver tips.
Can't wait to see the " almost" hole in one on the course vlog!
Stayed at Sueno Deluxe on the last visit - fantastic hotel and the 2 courses there are excellent too. Staying at Sirene this year and got a couple of rounds at the Sultan/Pasha. Will have to see about adding that Lykia course on to the next trip...
I was getting worried we wasn't going to get a show today, bit different having a Sunday evening show. Good show. The courses look amazing. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some course vlog from the trip.
Great to see people going here...this course seems to get forgotten as it's a 30 min drive away from bekek.....but well worth the trip
Would have never thought Turkey looked like that! You could be in Florida with the lush green and palm trees.
Come and visit Rockliffe Hall off the back tees ☠️ if you like length
Just catching up on the vids after a busy week in Kazakhstan
James is another massive asset to the channel.
Wow Lykia Links. As a guy who is lucky with a 220 yard drive, I can proudly say I have played here off the tips with 3 scratch golfers in a 4 ball. It's a LONG way. Good job they were good mates. Great hotel too.
Lykia Links by far the best course in Turkey.....played there in the last 15 years many times....from the back tees very demanding.....like the 17 hole.....
Rockliffe Hall in Yorkshire - 7,850 yds plus off the gold tees. Played it once for fun off those. Was just comical!
Gutted I couldn't make it😰...looked great though...the Sultan is brilliant...did you play the National?...oldest one in Belek...and Lykia links amazing, we stay at Sirene the hotel the Sultan and Pasha are attached to and we all got a speedboat to Lykia links...lol 9am... hungover in a speedboat and golf clubs everywhere...lol...looking forward to seeing you on a load of trips this year Dan..👍👍
I'm from the US and I played against the state amateur champion. I was out driving him sometimes by as much as 30 to 50 yards, and he beat me very badly. He was the best iron player I've ever seen. He never made it pro because he was short off the tee.
Evening all
Unfortunately I don't think EWEN Murray is leaving Sky (I usually turn off the volume when he is on.)The Twit refers to the Guardian sports writer EWAN Murray who is fed up with people confusing him with the other Ewen.
It looks like an amazing trip. Unfortunately I'm not in the position to justify spending that sort of money but good luck to those that are.
Not sure Ewen has been squeezed out. I think the journalist Ewan Murray had some fun with a mis-directed tweet.
All looks very nice. Hope you won’t have me playing of the back tees! 🤦🏼♂️
Anyone have any information on the current situation at sueno pines and dunes courses. I have just booked a trip to go in September but since heard terrible things about the state of the courses? Apparently they have killed the greens and they are unplayable? I'm very concerned as paid a fair bit already.
I’m sure by then they will be fine 👍
How many pints in were you on that sign out Danny Boy
Only 1
I'm a bit behind Dan, but if what you say is correct regarding Ewen Murray (SKY TV) well thats shameful. Its a shame that we're not seeing another Golf Channel on our TV that competes against SKY 405, would be great to see our favourites move over to there as we're seeing on the Radio..!!.. Any thoughts Dan..?
Hi Dan looks so good had does one get involved with your trips and does it depend on your handicap? I am 14 handicap right now
If you could be so kind as to let me know for the future thank you have a great time stay safe
Hi Shaun, the handicap ranges were 26 to 0 so open to everyone. I normally mention these trips through the Sunday Show and also through social. Next trip is Ryder Cup match in August at The Belfry, send me an email if you are interested: dh@dhgolf.co.uk 👍
😂brilliant 😎
Every time i see one of these trip updates i get super sad i live in the states....😢
We had Kurt over from the States and he loved it, your turn next Travis 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf better get a passport then lol
Dan & Friends make a golfing trip worthwhile no matter how far from home you find yourself.
Dan were did you all play and what condition are the courses + were did you stay?
Stayed at Sueno Delux 👌 played at Old Titanic course, Lykia Links, PGA Sultan and Faldo course all absolutely stunning, The Sueno greens are struggling right now
@@DanHendriksenGolf Cheers for reply Dan when were you out there?Ment to be going to Sueno on the 15th but our group have been told Sueno greens are terrible and groups are getting moved to other courses.
Enjoying the video's Dan especially when you got fitted for tsr very interesting. Keep them coming.
Great watch Dan and James how was the Wolfman and Mr Rice we will be there in 3 weeks 7 rounds bit worried as we r playing pines and Dunes 4 times with lykia links Sultan Carya cheers.
What about equipment, hitting a persimmon driver with a steel shaft wasn't easy!
good diverse group ... lol ..
I hope your keeping your receipts for your business trips, remember its all tax deductable . . . .
Let’s hope Alvaro never hears his surname pronounced “Queeros” again 🙈😂
He loves it 😂👍
Noooo not ewan... sky are idiots if they do this
Don't know what others thoughts are on this but I feel that with the recent earthquakes and thousands of deaths in Turkey this is probably not the best time to post a video of a bunch of golfers having a good time out there ?
This is a bad take. What are they meant to do, go out there and not enjoy it? The earthquake is obviously horrendous and a tragedy but you can’t allow that to affect your day to day life and enjoyment, otherwise you’d never enjoy a single day in your life.
@@ScottyDogGolf I don't think you really read my comment clearly. I stated that was probably not the best time to ' post ' the video. I didn't state they shouldn't have gone out there. It could have been posted some time in the future ?
@@geoffw8565 fair point but still, this is Dan’s business and it would’ve been part of his plan with his partners at Golfing Days. You can’t go living your life revolving around circumstances external to you.
@@ScottyDogGolf You can be respectful to external circumstances. Last Thursday at my local Farmers Market Turkish /Syrian people were collecting for the crisis. I think if you asked Dan would he do that again in a similar situation he would probably say it wouldn't be a good idea. Personally I feel it was bad taste to post a video while all that was going on but I guess business is more important than lives and respect ?
Totally agree with you. Insensitive and disrespectful. The video could have been posted at a much later date.
6800 is what you should be showcasing .your not being realistic Dano under 7000 is the tops for your capabilities 🤷🏼♂️🙈👨🏻🦳⛳️🇨🇦
Always good to test yourself every now and then Bill 👍
Harsh. I wish I had Dan's 'capabilities'. I am longer than him, but that means nothing as he would beat me 7 days a week.
Too much talk
😂
The worst course. Dont play.
Why’s that then?
Sorry Simon, I’m confused, which is the worst course?
