Looking for a similar setup, did you have any snow amounts that were too much for it to handle? Do you have stock suspension setup and will that last over time you think? Thanks for the video!
I didn't even adjust the suspension. Snow amounts were pretty low in south eastern MN this year. I only had to plow the lot 3 times and the snow was pretty lite. I was expecting to make another video plowing that heavy wet snow but we never got it. I could pile the snow up and still move it good. You just have to use plowing techniques like momentum. I try not to abuse it like ramming it hard into a pile or plowing at wierd angles though. I had a 1997 Ram truck with a straight blade plow and so far from what I've seen, this unit could stand toe to toe withn it. Really happy with the traction it has. Again, the heavy wet stuff might be a challenge but it was also a challenge for the Ram truck as well. I do worry about the suspension because this is my first SXS. Plowing in general is harder on a machine but I think if we're smart about it that it will be a good rig for years to come. Thanks for taking the time to watch the viedeo and comment. Hope this helps you in your decision.
If you angle your plow when you are doing runs then you don’t leave the trail behind and have to keep doing the same area over and over cause of spillage out the end of the plow. That’s why the plow has an angle on it lol.
The angle only pushes snow to the side. I need to push it straight ahead. I'm plowing a small parking lot, not a long driveway. That's why it has end plates. LOL
@@paycheckmonster I’ve been plowing for 22 years .. angling to one side means no snow comes out the other side buddy. Angle so the snow is coming out the right side and keep moving right and you don’t have to keep going back and cleaning up your mess. It is how anyone plows. You are the only person who plows straight 22 times in he same spot lol. It’s how when a snowplow goes by the snow doesn’t cover your vehicle.. it’s going out the other side of the plow, like a plow is designed to do lol. Plowing straight is only for the first couple passes to have a starting point when doing a parking lot or business or house etc.
@@xGR1MxREAPERx Buddy???? If your pushing snow across a roadway you drive right down the road then, with traffic. Seems smart. I'll tell you what. I'll plow the way that works for me. You can plow however you want. I guess I've never seen anyone plow with front end loaders and box blades!!!😆LOL
Geezahs, Pay CK is using his plow like a Snow Pusher and that is the way he has it set up, it's perfect! Reaperx has never seen the Snow Pushers in the Walmart parking lots attached to the Bobcats, apparently he can't afford one! hee hee @@paycheckmonster
Stock tires. I think they are the Pro Armor Crawlers. I can't complain about grip. I actually think they do really well. I can push a pile out in front of the machine and it's up to snow flap and pushing around the side plates. I wish I could test it in heavy snow because that would be the real test. I think it would be a challenge but I might be surprised. I also worried about stacking the piles up, but once you have a base established, you can just run up on that pile like a bulldozer. I was able to get piles stacked as high as the machine.
Have a 2020 general. Moving to a location I can definitely use this feature for my home. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching!!
We have the same setup on our General, except we use the angled side plates. Awesome plow!
Thanks for watching!!
Nice setup and video!
Glad you enjoyed it

How well does the setup back drag?
Not speaking for the streamer, my experience the blades are not heavy enough to back drag.
My general is garbage in the snow....even with chains...but we get a shit on of snow here in Montana mountians...i tried it once and got stuck
Gonna need u joints on the prop shaft by 200 hours. Polaris using the same cheap stuff as usual
Thanks for watching!!
What tires are on your general? Crawlers? Good in snow?
