EXTREMELY EDUCATIONAL, JUNE 6 OF 2017 I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY 1994 WRANGLER FOR 18 YRS AND I JUST BOUGHT A BRAND NEW TOP AND I STILL AT 52 BUT WILL BE 53 ON JUNE 10 STILL STRUGGLE WITH THESE TOPS AND ITS SO COOL TO SEE THESE VIDEOS ON THE BEST WAY TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE WHEN IT COMES TO INSTALLING OR UNINSTALLING WITH MINIMAL DIFFICULTY, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO.
Pretty good video..✅ We just got a new top for the 97 TJ from Rampage, it didn’t show the set up and it Ended up being THIS TYPE of frame we NEVER had seen before in all the years and Jeeps we’ve had, after a Week of searching UA-cam for one like this we find yours tonight (Christmas Eve) …🤷🏻♂️ Thanks, I do believe it’s the Same for the TJs now. 😎👍
+John Piasta Glad to hear it! We're in the business of making your job easier, and your Jeep looking good. You can check out other popular accessories for Jeeps here www.etrailer.com/popular/Jeep Please let us know if you have additional questions.
Wish someone would make a TJ style top for YJs with the plastic door surrounds that stay in place. Love my YJ, but after 23 years of tent building every time I put the roof on; I'd love a TJ style top. I know you can swap in the TJ cage and modify the TJ uppers.
We apologize for not showing how to flip the half top back. You will just need to unsnap the front section from the roof and tuck it on the inside of the vehicle. www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html
Oh that doesn't sound good. I would reinstall it and double check to make sure that you are making all the necessary connections to make sure that it is secure to head down the road. www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html
You will want to be sure to tighten all straps to take out the slack in the top. That is really the only way to reduce the flapping in a soft top. www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html
I bought this top and installed yesterday. Everything is great except the back window. First my kit didnt include the tauneo cover for the back bar that connects to the taile gate. Secondly my zippers appear to be backward from what they should be for the back window. Any advice? Thanks!
This kit will come with the brackets needed to install it. Check out all of the components in the following link to our product page. www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html
This top is soooooo bad, I bought it off amazon where it says it will fit 87-95 wranglers. Wrong it only fits if you have the hardware from 91-95. So I had to buy new hardware. Second doesn’t come with door frames, had to buy those. Now after all that I thought I had it all. Next thing you know the upper doors don’t like up and the snaps for the sides on the top won’t stay snapped together. Now I’m sitting in my Jeep, so mad that I bought this. I should’ve went with a bestop replacement.
Sounds to me like you received a used or incomplete kit. The kit we sell includes all of the hardware you need for the YJ including the upper half door frames. You can see the complete kit on our product page www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html On the other hand I agree the Bestop has quality tops as well. I'm not exactly sure your Jeep's model year but here's the entire selection we carry www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Jeep_Tops-sf-Complete_Soft_Top_System-pm-Bestop.aspx
I still cant get that tailgat bar to fit in those upper brackets of the tailgate brackets. I keep trying to stuff those rubber edges on the tailgate bar in the bracket and it keeps ripping the rubber off. can anyone help ?
Sorry you're running into issues. Are you having a hard time connecting the bar because the fabric is too tight? Are you working in pretty cold temps? It's recommended to try and install in an area where temperatures are above 70 degrees F. Installing the top in a warmer area definitely keeps the fabric from shrinking and makes the installation easier.
im more so confused on what i should be putting in that upper tailgate bracket (the ones on both side with 2 screws in them). I dont know which part of the whole tailgate bar im trying to stuff in there lol
+Emarosah This part is designed for use with Jeeps that have factory half doors. You can find options for your vehicle by putting in your year/make/model into our fitguide here www.etrailer.com/vehicle-finder.aspx?hhcat=tops Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Just got my soft top, looks awesome but no where on instructions on how to flip the top back for a half top
We apologize for not showing how to flip the half top back. You will just need to unsnap the front section from the roof and tuck it on the inside of the vehicle.

I dunno where I messed up but my soft top stared flying off on the freeway

How can I reduce Soft Top Flapping which creates incredible amount of noise, to the extent having a conversation itself is so difficult
You will want to be sure to tighten all straps to take out the slack in the top. That is really the only way to reduce the flapping in a soft top.

Before I get the chance to "put my squeeze in the breeze ", what size torx bit will i need to install?
I just submitted a contact form to the manufacturer and will let you know as soon as I hear back. The size is not listed in the instructions.
They replied and said that it is a 5/16" torx bit.
www.etrailer.com/Jeep-Tops/Rampage/RA68115.html
thank you, nice to know before install. I am putting mine on Monday or Tuesday next week
I am finding that torx bolts do not come in 5/16 sizes, but are designated by a T size

How to install the hardware of a frameless soft top on a1995 jeep yj are their any videos out there?
I’m having trouble snapping the snaps above the doors. It seems to be the last step in the video but I feel like I should’ve done it in the beginning?
Does the kit come with the upper half door frames as well??
Does it come with all brackets? Like everything needed to go? My Jeep has no brackets or hardware
This kit will come with the brackets needed to install it. Check out all of the components in the following link to our product page.
