Your reaction was perfect... Jeff would be very happy...in fact I know he is having a laugh about it.. I know this because I met Jeff and in those precious few hours I spent with him, I met a person who cared not about his unfortunate situation, but cared about sharing his undeniable gift... I miss him, but that chance meeting over 23 years ago will never leave my memory.
@@carloscollins6860 I'm so happy you found Jeff, he was and still is such an inspiration for people with disabilities. I will always cherish those few hours I spent with him, he was nice, polite, and loved his whiskey. I was just lucky enough to be working as the doorman that night when his driver pulled up outside the bar, the door opened and as soon as I saw who it was, well let's just say I made sure Jeff had everything at his disposal.. when he got up on stage to sing and play that guitar with his friends, it was magical. The story about the toilet incident that had us both pissing ourselves laughing goes like this.. after about an hour, Jeff asked if I could escort him to the toilet, no problem, and as I guided him to the urinal, he was "doing his business" he turned, as if to look at me, and said....I bet you thought I'd be bigger, a reference to his line in the movie Roadhouse. I was crying with laughter...all the while the rest of the customers had no idea what was happening. I'm so glad you had your experience seeing him, and keep strumming those strings... he's watching you. ❤️✌️🤘
@@carloscollins6860 Jeff was and still is an inspiration to many people with disabilities... There is a funny toilet story.... Keep strumming those strings bro, he might just be watching.
What an absolutely wonderful reaction, I never thought you said anything at all disrespectful, you not knowing made it awesome! He was one of the best , lived a hard life, gone too soon! But gave us treasures!
I'd not be offended at all giving you my info.. As to be honest with you, " your videos make me smile and laugh so very much, and like I said in my previous reply to you, Bisscute... You put your true identification on whatever reaction you do, Dam," Girl, you're so addictive ! 😂😂😂Meaning your video's you do are soooooo... Awesome. Regards Carl. 😊❤
You didn't mess up. You reacted to and appreciated Jeff's incredible skills before finding out he was blind. To me, that makes your reaction even better. Now that you know, when looking back it makes his playing that much more impressive. He was legendary.
Why would you feel bad?? It's WONDERFUL that you didn't know it Jeff was blind! That meant that you appreciated his music and his talent for what it was, without any preconceptions. That's what most people with disabilities want! Yes, it is even more remarkable what he accomplished given he was without sight. But even if he had perfect vision his talent would still be astounding. Don't feel bad, love! Yours was one of the most genuine reactions to Jeff's music I have ever seen, precisely because you didn't know he was blind!
I genuinely love this reaction. It's so sincere and you were blown away before you knew. That makes him and his music more impressive, not less. He was a true giant in modern blues guitar and he is missed. Thank you for helping spread his music to others who haven't heard of him.
Jeff would have been so pleased that you considered him a guitar god without judging him based on his blindness but purely by his talent. Great reaction Bisscute.
Jeff was such a humble and kind hearted soul who saw the irony in everything - especially how his biggest hit opened up with, "girl you're looking fine tonight" - and never took offense nor took anything for granted. So don't feel bad about him and his blindness. Jeff felt bad enough for hearing impaired or deaf people to ever spend a moment feeling sorry for himself. I recall him saying once in an interview, "Of all the genres of music, they'd feel the Blues the hardest." 🥺 He's soooo right ... 😔
You felt his music. Even not realizing Jeff was blind you FELT the outstanding talent of the man, perceived some things that are beyond talent, almost like a divine gift. Nothing to be ashamed of. Really genuine and kind reaction of yours
I can not say much more than: thank you for bringing back Jeff Healey, such a wonderful talent whom we lost way too early. EDIT: you did not mess up. You didn't know he was blind. And it is freaking amazing he could play like this. Your reaction came from the heart and you never have to say sorry for that. Less than three... ~ Vals
So funny thing here... I also did not know he was blind... I literally read this comment 10 seconds before she exclaimed about not looking at the guitar... so the timing was impeccable.
I played a couple of his vids for my kid sister, and she said the same thing... "OMG, he didn't look at the guitar once!" And I responded that he's NEVER actually looked at a guitar in his life. She was understandably confused until I explained... then she smacked me upside the head.
Thank you for putting it into words I just could not find properly! Her reaction, to me it is more like she treats these as if she IS sitting there with us watching it and is just being herself. It is why I stay subscribed and now at 67, started watching on Twitch. :-) I confess, I am an OLD gamer. I sat 25 feet once from Albert King in NOLA, saw BB King with my teenage son and had the absolute pleasure to watch Jeff in his early days. As she says, they are blessed with talent.
And he's BLIND!!! Think about that... learned to play both guitar and piano but has never seen either one. Playing guitar the way he does but was never able to look at his hands to figure out chords. Although he died in 2008 I had a chance to work with him during the filming of Road House and he was one of the nicest guys I've ever been around. RIP Jeff
You have to see when the night comes fallen from the sky. The video. He stands up and plays guitar behind is back. Not bad for a blind man. And angel eyes 👀 is beautiful 😍
Please don't be upset or feel bad, you didn't know he was blind. Just glad you appreciated it and even more now. I enjoy your reactions and how genuine you are as a person.
You felt what I did, emotion, disbelief of how good he was, etc...(on your first viewing of him). I'm impressed a young person would give this genre of music the time of day, so thank you. I was lucky enough to see Jeff a dozen times or so, even got to meet him and the band. He used to play tiny clubs in the late 80's and I'd get first row, probably 10 feet from him, it was insane! I'm so sorry he's gone, truly one of the greats.
At the age of one, Healey was blinded by retinoblastoma (a malignant tumor of the retina). Probably the reason why he usually - not always - plays the guitar so laid down is that it is comfortable for him. I saw him at the Dresden Jazz Festival in the 1990's - what a guitarist, what an engaging voice - great! Jeff Healey died of complications from retinoblastoma on the evening of March 2, 2008 at the age of 41 at St. Joseph's Health Center in his native Toronto. He suffered from the disease throughout his life, and it also led to his early blindness (see above). In Healey's last years, the tumor metastasized to his lungs and legs. Healey left a wife and two children. In his too short life, he gave a lot of people a great time at his concerts, listening to his music - we can be thankful that they were able to hear him live at least once. His talent was impressive, beautifully performed - thanks for that Jeff! Have a nice Christmas time everyone, think of your loved ones, cherish them, because all of our lives mean a brief stay in the now. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023!
Apparently when he got his first guitar, he, of course, never saw how it it was played. He put it on his lap and learned how to play it that way. Absolutely a genius player!!!
It was brilliant that you were blown away by his talent.. before you knew he was blind.. an absolute Canadian Music Legend.. and possibly.. the most underrated player of all time
I've watched so many reactions to Jeff Healey live and heard the reactor mention that he's not even looking @ the guitar before they learn that he lacks eye sight. I think he saw that guitar more clearly than most of with eye sight ever will. Thanks for the reaction.
Not knowing beforehand makes your reaction 100% honest and real, he has incredible talent and could out play 99.99% of humanity. And to do so being blind elevates his skill level to a unheard of level. Keep up the great work I love your videos!!
You did a great job don’t be sad Jeff was one of the nicest persons he thought it was a gift that he couldn’t see he didn’t want to see the ugliness in the world I met him once in Canada he was the most down-to-earth person musician I have ever met he didn’t know what color was we need more people like him in this world have a blessed day merry Christmas
No reason to feel bad your reaction was wonderful. I kept thinking wait until she realizes he can't see is why he's not looking. I'm an old man and it makes me so happy to see young people like you appreciate this type of music so please don't stop. And don't give up on the Guitar use episodes like this to inspire you not defeat you.
IT IS OKAY!!! YOU DIDNT KNOW AND ITS OK… Jeff Healey was a beautiful musician and an inspiration to us all.. we lost him in 2008 .. but the music he left us will live for a very long time .. he was an even bigger inspiration knowing he was a very accomplished guitar player even tho he was blind .. but now you know why he played his guitar in his lap .. your reaction was great biss.. keep up the great work !!👍
Please don't feel bad. This was the best reaction to Jeff I've seen. Most reactors blah, blah, blah about him being blind. You genuinely reacted to him just as an talented artist, that is how it should be. Cheers from Canada
❤🙂 it's ok. Your reaction was one of the best ever. I work at an airline and was walking behind him in the terminal, he had his guitar strapped behind his back, I wanted to say hello but lost my nerve. May he rest in peace.
Jeff did an awesome cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Speaking of which, there's a version of that song that was performed at the Rock & Roll HOF by Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Prince (among others) that is awesome. Check it.
One of the pride and joys of us Canadians, incredible artist and guitarist, Stevie Rae Vaughn actually gave him his first big break on TV, he's greatly loved and missed. You don't have to apologize, you didn't know and it makes him all that much more special that he could play like that, truly a guitar god!
As a child I cancer took his sight and sadly later took his life but in between Healy blessed us all with his god-given gift of music rest in peace Jeff
There is no reason for you to feel bad. YOu offered a warm and sincere reaction to great music. Jef was an artist, not a BLIND ArTIST, who losst his eyes to cancer at age two, lived his life with grace and generosity, fought battles with cancer multiple times, and lost the war at ageforty-two. We are blessed by his life.
Your reaction was awesome, and as someone who watched him live at least a dozen times, your reaction was appropriate. He was amazing, and you saw that right away.
I can't believe he's been gone for so long, same goes for SRV. One must keep in mind that music is/was all these great artist did day in and day out, however I think with Healey being blind helped with so much feeling with his music. Like SRV they were from another world.
Wonderful reaction Bisscute!! I hadn't seen or heard of him before either. Like you I didn't realise that he was blind. You are so sincere and honest in your reactions. Don't change!!!
Why should you feel bad? You gave an honest reaction and gave him high praise, which he totally deserves. And I think it makes it more awesome that you didn't know and you reacted honestly and the truth did come out correctly even then.
I was lucky enough to see Jeff live. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. But I swear I was deaf for a couple days after, that boy played LOUD!
Jeff Healy and Stevie Ray Vaughan played on stage together and one of the songs they did was ‘Look At Little Sister’. You should really check it out. It is the only time I’ve ever seen SRV almost get outperformed. Two legends taken from us too soon 😢
Bisscute, I have been in a very similar situation where I could not have know all the details. Honestly though, the moment you realized was so cute. It was totally genuine and I think your sincerity really came through. I can't lie, I did laugh a little bit when I saw the moment coming. Wonderful reaction as always!
I agree with your chat, your 1st reaction to Jeff was genuine and henest. You even said that it brought out emotion and i'm sure Jeff wanted it that way. Now that you know, now you can say "Dam he can play real good for having that condition" and "why does he hold that guitar like that?" Maybe check out a song he did called "See the Light" The old LIVE version as many people who did look at that vid learned how good he was but also understood WHY he held his guitar that way.
Don't feel bad you did a wonderful reaction.💚 As a hobby guitar player I know the feeling of wanting to give up when you hear real good players. I’m older and wiser (hopefully) now and know my limits and now I choose to get inspired.🙏 Practicing guitar in total darkness it’s actually a very good way to improve finger technique, to train the ears and to feel the music more.😘
I'm a little more than a hobby guitar player. My way of learning not to look was reading the sheet music and figuring it out. Btw, guitar wasn't the first stringed instrument I learned which made it easier knowing the sheet music and sound. When I here someone amazing it doesn't turn me off. It just makes me try harder and figure it out. The only limits are what you impose on yourself.
Young lady, you have no need to say sorry. He was a great guitarist, and singer, and obviously you reacted from the heart. You appreciated the music skill. When we lost him, it was a blow, just like SRV.
He wouldn't have wanted you to feel bad about his loss of eyesight, he would have wanted people to enjoy his music. He was discovered by Stevie Ray Vaughan in a club in Canada at age 19. I believe he was 33 here. He passed away at 42 yrs old complications from eye cancer. His bass player thought he would survive the last episode as he had done in the past.
You are adorable right down to your very core, even Jeff would have seen that! You really must do ANGEL EYES, and pay attention to how many times the song references looking, eyes, etc. He was one of the greats and I remember crying the day he died. Oh, Merry Christmas Biss!
I met him once at a rock bar I was working at in the mid 90's. We chatted for a few minutes before sound check and he told me, with a straight face, that he had to behave himself tonight because his band and roadies like to party and he may have to drive the tour bus after the show. True story! Such a humble, genuine man whose musical gift was taken from us all far too early.
Biss, blind since cancer took his sight at the age of 1, Jeff Healey (RIP) was a unique and truly great blues guitarist. Jeff's performance of "See the Light" , will blow your mind, especially since now you've realized that Jeff was blind. The link is ua-cam.com/video/gwgOUzodS6E/v-deo.html . Jeff and Stevie Ray Vaughan were very close friends and shared musical styles , their rendition of "Look at Little Sister" is just great, the link is ua-cam.com/video/2HmLFyvFxTc/v-deo.html . Take care and be well.
That was a wonderful reaction! It was straight from the heart and very sincere. You shouldn't feel bad. You didn't know and there is no need to apologize. Keep up the good work and keep smiling. Merry Christmas, Biss!
Love how genuine your reaction and emotions were and there us no need to apologise for not knowing he was blind. That you didn't know just made you appreciate his gift on the guitar and his vocal ability even more. If you want to see more of this remarkable gentleman. Review and react to the Film Roadhouse in which he appears
You honestly should watch Jeff Healey and Stevie Ray Vaughan do " Look at Little Sister ". It will change your life to see that performance. It's incredible, to say the least. 👌💯💣💥
It's OK Baby Doll. No one would remotely suspect someone had so much talent to be able to do that blind. He's amazing. And now you're amazed. That's all it is. We miss him.
Getting his first guitar at the age of three, he developed a unique style of playing. Placing the guitar flat on his lap, and playing it like a lap steel with his hands over the fret board, gave him the flexibility of fretting with all five fingers and the power of pulling notes with the strength of his whole hand.
Your reaction was fine. Don't think of Jeff as a blind guitarist just a great guitarist who happened to be blind. I had the pleasure of knowing Jeff for several years going to the club he owned in Toronto and he was always a very kind and genuine person. I have never known anyone who knew more about blues or jazz music then Jeff he was an encyclopedia of musical knowledge.
An amazing talent for sure. I also want to wish everyone here a very merry Christmas. I'm so glad to be a part of this awesome journey with all of u and the amazing Biss.
I messed up back in the day too. I got a chance to work as a teen for a ticket to see Jeff live in my hometown and I SOLD IT OFF...Can't recall what I got with the money, but was definitely not worth it. One of the best. RIP.
You’re are all right and did nothing to apologize about. Jeff Healy is an awesome talent and about as humble as a person you would ever know. Sadly he passed away a few years ago. He has many songs that you will enjoy.
"thouching my spine", very correctly! Good blues does that, it reaches your soul in a blink of an eye ! Healey, may he rest in peace🤍, what a legend. Glad to see some still listen and react to giants 👌💪 Thank you Bisscute! ps. you said nothing wrong, do`nt feel bad. he was a killer on guitar, I think because he did`nt see, he could feel the music, much better then us "complete normal" people.
His voice is beautiful aa well as his playing. He wrote many original songs that have a timeless quality to them. I'm often surprised that he's not more well known. I'm weird, I knew his music before I discovered Stevie Ray.
I can only speak for myself but I believe that what makes Jeff Healy so special is the fact that he was born blind, so when he plays it is not from sight, but from his heart and soul. I think that is why you feel the emotional and soulful connection to his songs
Hey Bisscute, I hope all is well with you and yours this Christmas season. This reaction is up there as one of your best showing your inner beauty is the same as the outer beauty. I am very excited for you and your musical journey. You just are barely started on it and there is so much out there for you to discover for years to come. All music touches you deeply and will help mold you into an even more amazing person than you are today. By the time you have all of that eventual experience under your belt I will be (I hope) in heaven smiling down upon your progress. Music has taken me through good and bad times. God gave us music to help us along our journey here on earth. Jeff Healy was such a talented musician and yes he was blind and you could see the feelings he had for it while performing. Don’t ever sell yourself short and learn your guitar and prove you can play as well. Much ❤️ and happiness to you!!
Great honest reaction. Bis you didn't mess up, there a lot of people that have reacted to him that did not know he was blind. He was an incredible musician, singer and song writer. Another one that left this world way to early, but what he left up is pure gold and magic.

Please don't feel bad. This was the best reaction to Jeff I've seen. Most reactors blah, blah, blah about him being blind. You genuinely reacted to him just as an talented artist, that is how it should be.
Cheers from Canada
So talented. We lost him way too soon. RIP Jeff.
❤🙂 it's ok. Your reaction was one of the best ever. I work at an airline and was walking behind him in the terminal, he had his guitar strapped behind his back, I wanted to say hello but lost my nerve. May he rest in peace.
Dive in to all his music and you will see how great he was. Personal favorite.. I need to be loved.
Hopefully more in the future ❤️
@Bisscute the recorded version of I need to be loved has one of the best guitar solos I've ever heard.
Also check out forsaken by spook.
Jeff Healey was a fantastic singer and guitarist who sadly passed away at a very early age. He will always have a place in my heart RIP Jeff Healey
He is great, I love it. I just felt bad after ❤️
I had the great privilege to see him live at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz back in the early 90's. He tore the place up!! RIP Jeff......
Grow ass man of 60 + years, you brought tears. Flowing free.
Thank you!
No apologies needed. A heartfelt reaction. Check out his "See The Light" on Night Musuc 1988. simply stunning.
Should have been her first reaction video.
Yup and then How Blue Can You Get, live at Nottenden - a master class in how to control an audience
As a child I cancer took his sight and sadly later took his life but in between Healy blessed us all with his god-given gift of music rest in peace Jeff
this is an Albert King Song. I love Jeff, used to see him live in Toronto, at Chicagos.
We are blessed by his life.
you need to check out two videos from Jeff Healey..."See the Light" live on Night Music 1988 and his biggest hit (I think) "Angel Eyes"
Never give up, playing. He's proof if you want to do something you,"CAN"!!
I was lucky enough to see Jeff live. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. But I swear I was deaf for a couple days after, that boy played LOUD!
Haha, must have been amazing ❤
Jeff Healy and Stevie Ray Vaughan played on stage together and one of the songs they did was ‘Look At Little Sister’. You should really check it out. It is the only time I’ve ever seen SRV almost get outperformed. Two legends taken from us too soon 😢
Oh? I should, maybe someday ❤️
Or Tin Pan Alley with SRV & Johnny Copeland (if she hasn't already seen it) too.@sam-zm5zw
Bisscute, I have been in a very similar situation where I could not have know all the details. Honestly though, the moment you realized was so cute. It was totally genuine and I think your sincerity really came through. I can't lie, I did laugh a little bit when I saw the moment coming. Wonderful reaction as always!
Love your reaction it was fine. He was a Canadian icon who died much too young.
when a guitar is played by just the feelings in the heart of the musician.... pure beauty...
Right? ❤
the ending is the sweetest thing ive ever seen. luv you Bisscute, never change x
I love the.....hes not even looking at the guitar.....very truthful reaction. He actually doesn't even know what color that guitar is lol
Don't feel bad you did a wonderful reaction.💚
As a hobby guitar player I know the feeling of wanting to give up when you hear real good players. I’m older and wiser (hopefully) now and know my limits and now I choose to get inspired.🙏
Practicing guitar in total darkness it’s actually a very good way to improve finger technique, to train the ears and to feel the music more.😘
I'm a little more than a hobby guitar player.
I'm confident that Jeff Healey would appreciate that his music and performance stood tall on their own.
He was blind love that's how he played
I met him once at a rock bar I was working at in the mid 90's. We chatted for a few minutes before sound check and he told me, with a straight face, that he had to behave himself tonight because his band and roadies like to party and he may have to drive the tour bus after the show. True story! Such a humble, genuine man whose musical gift was taken from us all far too early.
wow ❤
You appreciated it just right.
Good music speaks.
AWESOME... after watchin him play and srv earlier i was wondering if they ever played magic together... thanks ...
It's OK Baby Doll. No one would remotely suspect someone had so much talent to be able to do that blind. He's amazing. And now you're amazed. That's all it is. We miss him.
You can see him go “god mode”. When playing “see the light” you can also see him in “road house” yes he’s blind he also passed away .Rest in peace
Getting his first guitar at the age of three, he developed a unique style of playing. Placing the guitar flat on his lap, and playing it like a lap steel with his hands over the fret board, gave him the flexibility of fretting with all five fingers and the power of pulling notes with the strength of his whole hand.
You did a great service bringing Jeff back into the light. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Jeff Healey has such a way of "singing" with his guitar. I also love his song " While my guitar gently weeps"
He is great ❤️
Your reaction was fine.
I didn't know he was blind either, until you found out in the video.Excellent guitar playing. Thanks for the genuine reaction video!
He is amazing for sure. Don’t feel bad about it 😅 I think if he could’ve watched your reaction he would have loved it 😊 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Welcome to the blues baby.
Thank you for your honesty. Jeff Healey (RIP) was a true inspiration to me.
Very sincere honest reaction… very moving and emotional in a really nice way just like the performance.. Be well and Merry Christmas!
Never heard of this guy before this, but he's amazing! Blues is such a soul-filled genre, you've gotta live it to play it.
Right? hes great ❤
He and his band played the house band in the Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse" Worth a watch sometime.
He wasn’t born blind. He lost his sight at the age of one, cancer in his retinal nerve. He fought it his entire life, and it claimed him in 08.
Jeff has a HIT called “angle eyes” ironically and appeared in a movie called “road house” Biss2😉😉
Great reaction, you were honest and loved the music, which is what's important.
I cried tears from that reaction. It's okay Bisscute. Really, it's okay.
