I'm just waiting for the full scale domestic to break out. But you caught me in a moment, where the beer buzz is just wearing out (which means a headache ain't far behind that). Go Trait, way to break it down to basics. Just like in the concrete trade, happy memories from my time in pre-cast etc.
Full marks go to Chris Zaldain, who felt like he'd gate crashed an episode of the Megyn Kelly show, think of that, the Meg is a mountain oriented woman and avid fly fisher too. I'd like to see Kris out there introduce Megyn to Musky some time.
Trait now has a fan for life. After I saw her cry over what Jacob Foutz went through, she's won my loyalty. I know Jacob. Fished with him a bunch. Jake is the most decent and genuine young man I've ever met. He deserved better from his contemporaries.
Trait you are an amazing person and I love that you don’t hold back on your questions you ask the tough ones. Thanks for bringing Kristine Fischer on the show she is an amazing person and angler and thank you for just talking bout fishing not just boat tournaments.
As a man i have to admit I have growing up I had those thoughts about women fishing at that level but through being able to watch these gals fish on social media and youtube I can say that they deserve to be there. The regret and shame of my past feelings will never go away and having a daughter will do that to you, the first time you see it happen to her it hits hard. Then you start to see how much of the world is like this. Thank god for women that have the fortitude to be there for the young girls to have heroes too.
Kristine, Thank you for continuing to be a role model for young women. Trait thank you for showing a level of empathy in this video and allowing us to see your human!!! Chris i look forward to seeing you catch em this year!
That is very apparent! It was a good thing that I said that. Humanness gets my money and my likes! I greatly appreciate that she allowed that side to show!
W o w !! Im sooooo glad Kristine is on this podcast... im her #1 fan.. she's just awesome and i love her content, in whichever form it comes in! Goooo Kristine. !!!!!!!
Love this! As a fellow female angler I think a lot of the problem with lack of women in pro fishing is that we come into the sport later in life because our 20s or 30s is so focused on our family. By then in our life we don't know where to begin to be on a track to be able to go into pro fishing. It's not just limited to bass fishing either, it's also the same with catfish fishing. We see so many men trying to break into the pro fishing that are in their 30s and 40s that are failing miserably and know it's going to be twice as hard for us as women. I'd love to see a podcast on that!
20 minutes in, and I love this episode, I have an 11 year old daughter who is ate up with bass fishing. We live in Springfield, MO, two years ago we were at the World Fishing Fair in Springfield, my daughter bugged the hell out of me about Michelle Jalaba's seminar, she was so excited that a "girls" job was to catch fish. If I get my wish, in ten or fifteen years I will be asking for her advice on how to catch finicky bass.
Yoooo idc how many times Kristine and yourself (Trait) said "to the women" a lot of what was said is Great advice for us men as well. Loved this episode, thanks for sharing with us.
Trait and Kristine you guys are so real and I love it! Thank you for putting this out there and talking about the hard topics about women’s fishing! This podcast is the best!
So great to see this interview! These are two women who have inspired me continually to push myself harder in the tournament world. Kristine, your comments on wanting to be a knowledgeable boater before you jump in the front of the boat resonates with me so much. I hope to be competing against you on the boater side soon 🙌🙌🙌 Love how you raise women up!!
This is great - the social media aspect hits home for sure. I was just having a conversation with my staff about how tough it is as a business and brand to HAVE to create content and be SO visible on social media to grow- even if it has NOTHING to do with your industry! It’s hard to balance. It’s refreshing to hear other high level pros feel the same
We had a tournament the same day on Lake Apopka last year as the kayak tour did and watching Kristine and other kayakers control there vessels on a windy cold day was just awesome. Great interview once again and keep up the good work. Good luck on the elites this season.
My cousin Cathy majors was a great angler in women's fishing back in the day .Judy Wong use to guide and fish pro level Penny berriman Chris Houston Kim bane and many more don't get much credit and should. Yall should interview some of the old school lady fishers like you did with Frits and get there prospective on lady's fishing.
Let’s not forget Pam Martin Wells womens leading money winner for bass tournaments! The only women to fish the final day of the bassmaster classic! B.A.S.S. needs to restart the womens bassmaster circuit!
Wow, I was really looking forward to listening to this one bc I’m a big fan of Kristine! When Trait started talking Jacob Foutz, it hit right in the feels. Awesome show!
Great episode, I've been following Kristine since before I even bought my kayaks. It's super interesting to see the view counts compared to other episodes, it sort of proves the whole point you all were trying to get across
Chris and Trait, awesome video, Kristin is a very genuine person. Chris maybe get into a kayak and enter a tournament one time, to see how you do and like it. Once again awesome podcast tonight.
Tbh I paid my dues in a kick boat and REALLY appreciate my bass boat now. I can launch in a couple of minutes and drive right to where I want to fish quickly. The kayak stuff isn’t for me
The guests you all have had are awesome! I would love an interview with Richard Gene the Fishing Machine. Just a general fishing and life interview, because the guy seems so genuine and entertaining.
On driving boats, BLat has this great episode where his Dad recommends not going up a certain creek (stump field etc), and that was the first creek that B ran in his first outing. Tell a guy what not to do, and it's the first thing he wants to do.
Such a great conversation. I hope Kristine does amazing on the Pro side. She's out a lot of hard work in and deserves it. As for the woman that may eventually make it all the way, I think Kristine has fished with her on kayaks. Hillary Sue Martin has the drive and the family backing and lineage to have an amazing runnat it. She is already in the door with a lot of major brands and has the social media side going as well. Hope to see her raising blue Elite trophies soon.
She is one of my favorite anglers ever. Her thought process and drive is awesome to watch. She is the reason I started kayak tournament fishing👌💪 ok edit….. I bout wrecked my dump truck laughing so hard bout vegetable emoji 😂😂😂😂 didn’t think this podcast was going there
Off topic... yall should have a plack on the wall, like the bass skateboard (but maybe not it) and have all your guests autograph it... Great podcast, you can tell your heart is really in it.. Thanks!
Hey Chris I was wondering what size owner centerpin screw lock do you use for your 6-inch unloaded version swimbait I was going to pick up the trokar TK 178 I was wanting to switch out the screw locks but I didn't know what size I know there's small all the way up to XL
Kristine is absolutely an amazing kayak angler!!! She would kick my ass no doubt! I've been kayak fishing going on my 10th year now. Always has HobiePA12's & I've had the PA12-360 about 2 years now. I've never got into fishing tournaments, I prefer to stay away from crowds & find hard to get places searching for big bass with swimbaits, but to each their own. I load my kayak in & out of my truck bed. I don't use a trialer. I feel I can get more places without the trailer & I don't pay to park at any big lakes because I don't have a trailer. I never had any electronics until last January. So I've had my set up a year now. I have a Garmin echomap Ultra 106sv, Steady Cast heading sensor & Lvs34 system. It's been an awesome set up! I absolutely love kayak fishing as much now as when I started. I do it 1-3 days every week 12 months out of the year. Good luck Kristine hope you kick everybody's ass & cash some checks this season!!!!
Great video you guys! Love to see you all get up and coming anglers on. I would love to Drew Gill on here. He is quickly becoming one of the best FFS anglers in the world. I’d like to hear that interview from you guys!
I really hope more women start tournament fishing my mom fished tournaments with my dad and she was a phenomenal bass angler, they won multiple tournaments a year and she usually caught the kickers
One of my Favorites...and I Swear that She's one of the best Casting Anglers on any body of water, at any time!!! She can really put it wherever She's Looking,no matter what type of limb, log,or brush is There... Not to say that She Ain't a top All Around Fisherman as well.
My wife has one of Traits spinning reels. Lol. I got in to custom rod building because I've raised 3 girls and my wife is a hammer the rod industry caters to men, there's no real options of exceptional gear that are female oriented if they like pinks, purples etc. I built her first rod that I spined, static reflected and installed the proper amount of guides and she was like my God it's day light and dark. She can cast accurately and 40 to 50% further with that accuracy. She's stoke to fish every week with me now.
Remember When Janet Parker fished the Opens. Got to meet her and spend time on the water with her. But lost touch she was very impressive on how she handled herself for the industry. Anyone know where she is at now. Would love to catch up with her again
Loved the show. Love loved it. Women in fishing. Being in IT there is the same "women in IT" There is a lot of shared goals and drives. Talk to organizations like "Girls who Code" b/c you both have the same goal, more women. Trade some ideas to see how they are.getting more women involved in STEM. I have contacts that I would be happy to share and work with you. Keep.of.the great shows and dive deep. Great work
Kristine is an absolute hammer on the water. I have followed her for a few years now. Regardless of sex, she is a wonderful role model for all. Great Show!!
25:35- I wanted to know the same thing so thank you for asking. I can't wait to see Kristine in a boat competing!!!! This totally makes my year for real. Go Kristine!!!
haha, that right there the driving! when I'm on the water I'm a free spirit, if i hit something on my kayak no big deal, a bigger boat hits something....bad lol
Two honest real women. Maybe Hillary Martin third generation will make it to the top. Any person that’s as devoted to catching ( fishing) as you three might make it. I have enjoyed this show the most of all your podcasts. Thank You

Anyone that doesn't understand the sponsorship side of things is a little nieve at this point. Anyone that wonders why Kristine kills it with sponsorship doesn't get it and most likely never will. Hard work pays off, period! It doesn't matter if its fishing or anything else, Kristine works harder than most and should be rewarded for that.
Kristine, SORRY I didn't know you sooner. The only Kayaker I've followed is Greg Blanchard. NOW I have you & the other women you list on your UA-cam acct. A side note, my ex fished the old Bass & Babes Trail, with Cris Houston & Mary Anne Martin. It's ironic that the problems you & Trait discuss TODAY, are the same that women faced FIFTY YEARS AGO!
55:54 in, I have to comment, why do we need a damn women’s tour? We aren’t talking athletics. This ain’t throwing a pig skin down the field! It’s chunking a bait in the water and reeling it in. Get in a boat, put the time on the water, and learn the craft. Both women on this podcast prove we don’t need handicaps. They can compete. Add to the already saturated industry in a new way. Make new fans. Bring folks in. Grow the sport. Why the hell would you create another league to splinter off folks with? Guess what! Haters watch too! Haters click links, haters make views, haters bring folks in from all their jaw jackin. Get on the water ladies! It’s sexy!
@Zaldaingerous I agree, but your question is a double edged sword. Yes, no Elite should. Sponsors pay them for some and Jacob failed to market himself and his brand to put him in an equitable position. Only by adapting to the changing times in this sport, one will see it's not about catching bass all the time. After Jacob being in the sport for so long, you think he would've picked up better on how to do things. Instead, he made a video saying his ROI is crappy and that he hates people. On the other hand, he is an Elite Series angler. The pinnacle of the sport. Which there is still entry fees involved. Jacob understands this, but does not secure enough sponsor cash to be profitable. I think the Elite Series anglers also need to ask themselves why are they still paying entry fees.
Thanks so much for some good conversation y’all. My life advice was definitely lacking a but at the end, I’ll make up for it on the next one 😂
I really enjoyed the interview he had with you ma'am
Great pod cast 🤙🏼

My wife cares deeply about the fishing industry and women’s fishing.

Definitely Need B-LAT on here 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Several followers have recommend B-lat. Maybe during the South Carolina swing this year?
Awesome! Kristine is one of my favorite fishermen to watch here on youtube. I've been watching her for years. So glad to see her on here.

It was great to hear you speak Kristine! Hope to get to meet you sometime!!

Drew was just on Bass Talk Live! Our episode with JT Thompkins goes live in 10 minutes. Good kid like Drew seems to be
This the best podcast I have heard so far . And totally agree on the companies working with individuals just for the water melon shots
I really hope more women start tournament fishing my mom fished tournaments with my dad and she was a phenomenal bass angler, they won multiple tournaments a year and she usually caught the kickers

It won't matter weather Kristine's in a kayak or boat. She's gonna be kicking so ass & catching fish. I have zero doubts about that.

That makes one of us 😂 I can’t help it, but I try to!
Great show
She's one of my favorite anglers😊
Kristine is a beast. Great podcast.
Kristine is an absolute hammer on the water. I have followed her for a few years now. Regardless of sex, she is a wonderful role model for all. Great Show!!
Fantastic podcast im a big fan of Kristine 💯💪🏽🔥
Such an articulate and amazing young lady... ❤️
Many have tried and fell short. keep swinging for the fences, you'll get there.
I lived in Pinetop AZ shot some of my biggest elk this n that area hope you do well you will love the hunt!!
I’m pumped!!!
Kristine is legit!
25:35- I wanted to know the same thing so thank you for asking. I can't wait to see Kristine in a boat competing!!!! This totally makes my year for real. Go Kristine!!!
I had the old trout tube with fins in high school lol then the plastic BPS Pond prowler 💪🏻
That pond prowler is legit
haha, that right there the driving! when I'm on the water I'm a free spirit, if i hit something on my kayak no big deal, a bigger boat hits something....bad lol
lol it’ll buff out
Two honest real women. Maybe Hillary Martin third generation will make it to the top. Any person that’s as devoted to catching ( fishing) as you three might make it. I have enjoyed this show the most of all your podcasts. Thank You
My favorite part was when u were talkin about the number of women in the sport and u said “fisherman……. Fisherrrrrr….women”. 😂😂😂 I had to rewind it and watch it again. lol!
To me Kristine is the face of Kayak Angling. Other than the 3 present and former Elite Anglers from the NE that fish Kayak events
The experience of kayak fishing can only be explained by doing it yourself. Time management on the water and everyone on same playing field
You go girl make it happen..
That was an incredible vlog! Thank You! 🙏💯👍
I’d love to see Kristine back after she does the open
Would love to see a Q&A on live streams.
I’m all for females in male dominated sports ! I race dirt track and love it when there females on the track !! Awesome videos guys !
The Queen🙌💪🏻
👸🎣
And I just want a minnkota on my topwater pdl. That and a solix would be cool.
@kristinefisher2289 one of the first videos I saw that I loved was last year on chick you were standing on the front of your kayak skipping in trees it was awesome
Awesome! One of the best “sticks” you’ve gotten on here.
I was hoping to see Ben Milliken on here one day. I guess that wish is gone….

As far as Jacob Fouts goes, Ish hit the nail on the head by saying the industry don't owe us shit...
An Elite series angler should not be paying entry fees. Who is at fault there? Jacob or the industry?
@Zaldaingerous I agree, but your question is a double edged sword. Yes, no Elite should. Sponsors pay them for some and Jacob failed to market himself and his brand to put him in an equitable position.
Only by adapting to the changing times in this sport, one will see it's not about catching bass all the time. After Jacob being in the sport for so long, you think he would've picked up better on how to do things. Instead, he made a video saying his ROI is crappy and that he hates people.
