    I'm totally with you Hannah. I honestly need the beach so bad myself lol. This is the time of year for me when I think about the beach constantly because the temperatures are starting to get warm. I so wish I could do the beach each and every day. That would be amazing. I'm already counting down the days til my vacation. Montego Bay is also the best. I actually did a mission trip there a decade ago and it was a really fun experience getting to see everything and minister to some of the people there for where we were at in Jamaica. Hope you had a great trip and excited to see more vlogs soon!

    You don’t have to check duty free alcohol. IF it’s in a secured plastic bag sealed by the duty free store, you can bring it thru security once you’re clear of customs and immigration. TSA will scan the bottles and reseal the bag For your flight.

    • @hannahsims3799
      @hannahsims3799  10 місяців тому

      I think it depends on the airport. Even if it’s sealed I’ve seen them throw them out due to being over the 3.4 oz limit. TSA is very inconsistent, so we always just tell people to put them in their checked bags to play it safe 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I always love a trip to the beach! Sometimes, it's just peaceful to sit and listen to the water. Last year, I went through the same tired look like you when I had to do 5 connections. This was international because I wanted to ride a specific plane (737 Max, A350, and the A380) 😂 But yeah, it's better to do the long trips first since on the last day, we all just want to go home and sleep. Be safe and thanks for another great vlog Hannah!

    I think (idk if this is true) if you have a checked back and you are making a domestic connection after a international flight the ticket agent wont look at the weight of the bag as the bag has been checked all the way through to your final destination.
    I have had heard of a few stories of people not realizing if you are making a domestic connection after a international flight that after immigrations that you have to pick your bag up and drop it off again. so the bag was left at the carasoul lol

    • @hannahsims3799
      @hannahsims3799  10 місяців тому

      I’m not sure about checking weight, but yes in the US when you make a connection after coming in from an international destination you pick up any bags you checked at the baggage claim at immigration and then have to recheck them. Most flight attendants make an announcement about that once we arrive. But you’re right that a lot of people don’t realize they have to do that because going international the bags go all the way through.

    Hi Hanna. I know you enjoy your devotions every day, I have a suggestion of some Christian music you may enjoy as part of your devotions. Philippa Hanna is a Yorkshire Christian singer song writer. Some of her songs are very uplifting especially when you are on your own and far away from home. Try “Sunday Morning Worship with Philippa Hanna” on UA-cam. She recorded it in lockdown three years ago but the words underneath, these are three of my favourite songs. Do try them out, I hope you find them uplifting and help your devotions. Mike.

    As I mentioned in a comment on one of your other videos, I'm a young 75 years old. So by being that old I know things from well before you were born. Thinks like 45 records. Look it up. But in your industry I doubt you would have any knowledge of this fact. Back in the 50's and 60's if you had applied for a job as a stewardess, that's what a flight attendant was called back then, you wouldn't have been instantly rejected. Certainly not because your not attractive enough. Actually because you wear glasses. Remember that back then contact lenses hadn't even been invented yet. So that wouldn't have been option for you. Back then only women were stewardesses. Flying wasn't quite as safe as it now, thank God, so the reason wearing glasses was an instant rejection was because of the fear that in an emergency if your glasses were knocked off during a crash or rough landing you would be somewhat handicapped in assisting people with exiting the plane quick enough. So even if you were more than able to see well enough without your glasses you were considered a risk. The airlines had more than enough applicants that didn't wear glasses anyway. Now I think if a stewardess was hired with perfect vision and then got glasses later on she had to pass a vision test much like the one you now take to get your driver's license. I'm not exactly sure when the no glasses policy was dropped, but I think it was somewhere around 1975.
