My secret to fs noseslides is to lean over my sliding foot and make sure my head is directly over it. That pushes your weight to the top of the ledge rather than the side and gets you moving and holding it. My best fs noseslides my back foot comes slightly off the board and my toe kind of holds the side, because all my weight is on top of the ledge over the front foot. In my most recent video I do a few where you can see. Think about standing on the top, not the edge. That will get you level and locked in.
A very good start! The back side nose slides are so buttery. Watching them makes me want to spend all day in front of a little ledge. It’s a joy to watch the progression. Thanks for this.
@@SkateCrisis i have but I don't do it enough at all I have a bad habit of only doing what's comfortable and what I know Need to start doing new stuff Honestly that's where you guys inspire me alot to try new stuff
Some nice slides on those BS noseslides. Like the 5050 to boardslide. I was trying those recently and never got it. Looked smooth. The FS Noseslide is looking good too. Agree. Good start. Ours look similar. I always get nervous sliding backwards and need to get past that fear. No advice here. Except you got it and will look better and better with practice. But with that said. They looked pretty darn good today.
Thank you Gebs! Sliding backward is an all diffrent game. We will get clean ones soon for sure! About 50-50 to boardslide, I learned it by praticing it as a stall first like I do with most of my new ledge tricks to gets the motion.
the Dan Corigan video really helped improve your noseslides! good stuff Laurent! As for the Fs Nose, you really wanna get up there and stand upon the ledge. It is a super difficult trick! :D
That was a good beginning man! Very impressive. The fs nose slide feels really scary! But also extremely stylish! It's gonna be great seeing you learn this trick. And that kickflip looks effortless!
As you said... not bad at all considering you just started. You will get it. On the other hand the bs nose slide are great. Sliding a long way! Well done Laurent! 👊🏼
J'ai fait quelques essais la semaine dernière sur une session non filmée. Ca tournait bien mais étrangement ca me donnait mal au genou! 😬 Je retenterai demain!
When I do them to forward, I tend to turn only my hips and I keep my shoulders mostly straight/parallel to the ledge. If I want to land fakie, I turn my shoulders more. You see this same approach when some people do backside 180 nosegrinds (especially the way some pros do them in contests, since it's such a common contest trick)--they turn their whole body when going to fakie, but only turn their lower body when they bring it back to forward.
FS Nose slide on a high ledge, that is a battle for sure. I have just learned them slappy. The only thing I have learned from that experience is I have keep by back straighter and I look over my FS shoulder a little in the direction of slide. When I get that right I tend to do them better. Definitely all in the shoulders I believe. But getting into that position from the ollie would be a battle.
This battle will last for few videos to come I think. I went yesterday to try it again with no real success. But now that I have all comments and tips from every one, I'm boosted to try it again today after work! I'll try slappy, it might help to find the right move. Thx a lot!
Try rolling up slow and then getting your full weight up on top and stalled. These are exponentially more difficult with your weight off to the side of the ledge in my opinion
You definitely have no fear when coming at that ledge FS. When you said at low speed I thought you were going to go slow at the ledge, that isn't slow to me. You were attacking it.
If you have any tips, please let me know!

Another solid session and you made a great start to learning fs noseslide. Love the line with bs noseslide then the heelflip on flat, that was sweet.
THank you Matt it's a line I start to get used to. We are planning to do some lines soon with my friend Axeli...

You right may be I should slow down a bit ! At least to get the right motion!😅
